Communists Honor Fake News Champion CNN

"Cuba is"prepared" for the possibility of Donald Trump's reelection and the continuation of crushing US sanctions against the island, according to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The Cuban president's challenge to the Trump administration came during a tour of central Cuba last week, where CNN was given rare access to the Cuban head of stateCNN was one of three international outlets invited to accompany Diaz-Canel on parts of his trip.

Rather than the upholding of any U.S. law, CNN hinted that Trump's Cuba policy was a simple ploy by the hotel mogul Donald Trump to sandbag other hotel companies-so that Trump's company can later fill Cuba with Trump hotels.

"The decision to prohibit business with GAESA.is an example of Trump's ability to impact his business' competitors while in the White House. Trump's prohibition, in effect, puts other hotel companies on equal footing with his personal company - not allowed to pursue future business in Cuba.".

In brief, according to CNN, Trump's Cuba policy constitutes a blatant "Conflict of interest."

OH!-and while we're on that topic! How many of y'all knew that CNN's Cuba reporter Patrick Oppmann-the very one given "Rare access" this week, and who constantly rails against Trump's Cuba policy of restricting tourism to Cuba-this very CNN "Reporter" has an American wife who until recently owned a shop in Havana that catered primarily to tourists?

When "Reporting" on Stalinist Cuba's medical marvels, CNN often features a "Medical expert" named Gail Reed.

Terrorist leader in Yemen is killed in air strike after bragging to Trump about killing

The United States carried out an airstrike in January that killed a leader of Al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen after months of tracking him, according to current and former government officials.

Qassim al-Rimi, 41, was killed in the January strike but officials had been waiting to confirm the information before making public statement, the New York Times reports.

The Yemen branch, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has been keen to attack the U.S. and Europe.

U.S. officials have taken the gentle approach when announcing the success of this particular drone strike as they have learned in the past that they were too-quick to do so for other CIA drone strikes.

The government then started using surveillance drones to track him, according to an U.S. official who was briefed on the strike.

Local news in Yemen reports that the strike killed two militant suspects in the area of Wadi Abedah in central Yemen, but did not identify who those people were.

It was late doubled to $10million as al-Rimi was linked to numerous plots against the U.S.In 2017, al-Rimi notably sent President Donald Trump an audio message taunting him for a Special Operations Forces raid on an al Qaeda compound in Yemen that led to the first military combat death under the Trump administration, CNN reports.

'Cannot happen again': Hillary Clinton blames Bernie Sanders for disunity in Democratic Party

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accused Sen. Bernie Sanders and his support network of being responsible for disunity within the Democratic Party.

In a Friday podcast, Clinton called the behavior of Sanders supporters "Distressing," assigning blame to them for the outcome of the 2016 election.

Clinton beat Sanders for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in 2016, but not after a bitter primary contest in which the Vermont independent ran a surprisingly competitive campaign.

Clinton lauded former President Barack Obama's behavior during the 2008 election, when he defeated her for the party's nomination, claiming he helped unify the Democratic Party in a way Sanders did not eight years later.

Clinton additionally categorized the first-in-the-nation caucuses in Iowa, where some polls show Sanders in the lead ahead of Monday's event, as being "Undemocratic." She criticized how the caucuses limit voting to one evening, claiming it prevents Iowans with night shifts from voting.

Sanders chided Clinton last week over the criticism, accusing her of using divisive rhetoric.

"Secretary Clinton did indicate, and I was glad to hear this, that she would support the Democratic nominee, and if that's me, I'll look forward to her support," he said.

Students demanded divestment from fossil fuels, a professor offered to turn off the gas heating

Professor Andrew Parker of St John's College at Oxford University is my new favorite person.

The Times of London reports that a group of students wrote to Professor Parker to discuss demands being made by student protesters about fossil fuel divestment.

Two students at St John's College wrote to Andrew Parker, the principal bursar, this week requesting a meeting to discuss the protesters' demands, which are that the college "Declares a climate emergency and immediately divests from fossil fuels".

"But I can arrange for the gas central heating in college to be switched off with immediate effect. Please let me know if you support this proposal."

Fergus Green, the organiser of the wider protest, who is studying for a master's degree in physics and philosophy at Balliol College, said: "This is an inappropriate and flippant response by the bursar to what we were hoping would be a mature discussion. It's January and it would be borderline dangerous to switch off the central heating."

There are significant costs to real people associated with eliminating fossil fuels.

So a fair response to people demanding an end to the use of fossil fuels is the one the professor put to these protesters: You first.

Pelosi Defies Senate's Authority, Says Even if Senate Votes To Acquit, Trump Won't Actually Be Acquitted

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stood in front of microphones on Thursday and declared that if President Donald Trump is acquitted by the Senate, he will not actually be acquitted.

"We are right now prayerful and hopeful that the Senate will have the courage to hear the truth about the President's action, and then we'll see what we do next," she said, according to a transcript on her website.

"When this is over, do you think that President Trump will be chastened and understand that he's got a Congress watching him? Or will he be emboldened because the Senate will have acquitted him?" the reporter asked.

Do you think Pelosi will accept the Senate's decision on acquittal?

5%. 95%. "Well, he will not be acquitted. You cannot be acquitted if you don't have a trial, and you don't have a trial if you don't have witnesses and documentation and that," Pelosi replied.

The Constitution explicitly states that the Senate, not the Speaker of the House, has the sole authority to handle an impeachment trial of the president.

If and when the Senate acquits Trump, he will forever be acquitted.

George Soros' New Venture

George Soros is a currency speculator with political ambitions.

George Soros has turned the open society into his personal ideological tool that he uses to realize his political ambitions.

George Soros and his organization - Open Society Foundations - are very political in orientation.

Soros made the initial announcement of the new project in a speech he gave at a dinner funded by his organization at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Soros also announced in the speech the choice of Bard College as his partner in the new educational venture.

There is little doubt that OSUN is a brainchild of George Soros.

The decision to create OSUN is a decision by one man - George Soros.

Crying Wolf on Impeachment

The impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump is coming down to one big question: Will Democrats, by crying wolf, drown out the more legitimate Republican cry of foul?

The legitimacy of the first portion of the House inquiry-including numerous subpoenas-is in doubt, since it was conducted before the House voted to open it.

Now come Democrats and the press insisting it is Senate Republicans' job to call yet more witnesses on their behalf, namely former national security adviser John Bolton.

How many senators have the stomach for the months this duty to fairness would require? How many Republicans think weeks and weeks more of this torturous process is beneficial to their re-election? And who thinks that this is the Senate's job anyway?

Republicans who hope a vote for witnesses will protect them from Democratic assault are in denial.

Far better for Republicans to shut down the whole circus.

Go about reminding voters of the merits of Republican governance versus the theatrics of the partisan "Resistance." Move on to the true way Americans are meant to settle political differences in this country-the November elections.
