The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has captured Khalid Ahmed Satary, a fugitive on its “Most Wanted Fraudsters” list, who is accused of committing a massive healthcare fraud scheme.
● Capture Announcement: FBI Director Kash Patel announced Satary’s arrest on X, highlighting it as the third capture from the list in five weeks.
● Fraud Charges: Satary was indicted in 2019 on charges of health care fraud and conspiracy for allegedly stealing over $547 million from Medicare from 2016 to 2019.
● Fraudulent Activities: He allegedly billed Medicare for unnecessary genetic tests using deceptive marketing strategies, illegal bribes, and kickbacks.
