Soros has ‘taken over’ Hungary – Musk

Elon Musk recently shared his views on the Hungarian parliamentary election, where the pro-European Union Tisza party defeated Prime Minister Viktor Orban. He accused the Soros organization of gaining control in Hungary following this election.

• Musk highlighted that the Tisza party, led by Peter Magyar, won 138 out of 199 seats in parliament with 53.6% of the votes, leading to a significant defeat for Orban’s Fidesz party, which secured only 55 seats with 37.8% of the vote.

• Musk criticized Alexander Soros, the chair of the Open Society Foundations, for celebrating Orban's defeat, which he interpreted as a victory for what he sees as foreign influence in Hungary.

• The Tisza party, although conservative, plans to reverse some of Orban’s policies and strengthen ties with the European Union and NATO.

• Orban has had a long-standing conflict with George Soros and his organizations, blaming them for promoting ideologies he opposes.

• The Open Society Foundations have invested nearly $90 million in Hungarian organizations between 2016 and 2023, significantly impacting local politics, despite being forced to leave Hungary in 2018 due to anti-Soros legislation.

Musk's comments reflect his belief that the Soros organization has gained significant influence over Hungary following the recent election results, marking a shift from Orban's long-standing governance.
