White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre labelled Donald Trump a “threat” to national security on Tuesday, just two days after a second assassination attempt against the former President.
When Fox News reporter Peter Doocy questioned the wisdom of using the same inflammatory rhetoric that has led to such volatility, Jean Pierre became annoyed and called the reporter “dangerous.” “It’s been only two days since somebody allegedly tried to kill Donald Trump again, and you’re here at the podium in the White House briefing room calling him a threat,” Doocy pointed out.
Modernity.news reports: He added, “How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the President and the Vice President, and you, pick a different word to describe Trump other than ‘threat’?” “I actually completely disagree with the premise of your question,” the Press Secretary responded in typical fashion, adding “The question that you’re asking is also incredibly dangerous in the way that you’re asking it because the American people are watching.” She then claimed that the Biden Harris administration has called to “lower the temperature,” adding “to be for you to make that kind of comment in your question, because your question involved a comment and a statement, and, uh, you know, that is also incredibly dangerous.” She then went on to talk about Trump questioning the election results and January 6th, stating “if that’s not a threat to our democracy, when it was one of the darkest days of our democracy — January 6th, one of the darkest days — then what is?” Doocy responded “There are people watching at home who might miss the part where you say, ‘Let’s lower the temperature.’ There are mentally unstable people who are attempting to kill political candidates — attempting to kill Donald Trump — and they are still hearing this White House refer to him as a threat.
Is there no concern about that?” Jean Pierre again reverted to talking about January 6th and declared “I’m moving on.” As we have highlighted, Democrats including Biden and Harris have repeatedly labelled Trump a threat, even more so after the first assassination attempt.
Others have directly called him a fascist and likened Trump to Hitler.
