A legal analyst appearing on MSNBC argued that special prosecutor Nathan Wade's testimony on Thursday seriously hurt the credibility of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, putting the case against former President Donald Trump in jeopardy.
Caroline Polisi, a federal and white-collar defense attorney, stated Thursday that Willis's credibility being "Shot" is the biggest takeaway from Wade's "Bombshell" testimony, especially regarding her work in the case against Trump.
Polisi added that Willis's case is "Dead in the water" due to the recent revelations, which are a "Horrible, horrible look for her." She also predicted that Willis would likely be disqualified from this case.
"The case will have to be reassigned to another prosecutor's office. Likely it will languish there for months," Polisi said.
Polisi reiterated her belief about the case on social media, writing that it is "Game over" for Willis and Wade.
Willis has argued her relationship with Wade has had no impact on the case.
The case in question is related to Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in the state of Georgia, one of several legal battles he is facing this year while running for president again.
