Private property rights under siege

People invest in gold for various reasons, including concerns about economic, monetary, or political uncertainty, a hedge against inflation, or a sense of security. These concerns stem from the realization that our societal system is built on blind faith and often rewards recklessness while punishing prudence.

The system is based on individuals trading compliance for security, order, protection, and stability. However, this system often leads to injustice, with those in power abusing it and changing rules in their favor. The governed must abide by strict rules, facing severe consequences if they don't comply.

Governments often fail to deliver on their promises of security, protection, and stability. Despite this, many citizens still trust politicians who promise different results. Governments have a history of disregarding their own laws and violating fundamental rights, as seen in recent examples of privacy infringement, property rights violations, and limitations on freedoms.

The story of the FBI's raid on safe deposit boxes in Beverly Hills illustrates the government's disregard for citizens' rights. The FBI violated the 4th Amendment by searching and seizing assets without individual criminal warrants, and they planned to confiscate assets over $5,000 based on an assumption of criminal ties.

These violations are not unique to the US; European states also routinely violate property, privacy, and civil rights. However, Switzerland has an advantage in protecting against State overreach due to its system of direct democracy, which offers ironclad protection of private property rights.

Direct democracy, when practiced among like-minded, freedom-loving individuals, promotes decentralization and subsidiarity. It is a manifestation of the principle that every human being is born free and has the right to pursue their goals and beliefs without undue limitations. This principle is central to the Swiss identity and ensures the nation's endurance and continued success.
