According to U.S. Rep. James Comer, the informant file that he has been seeking from the Federal Bureau of Investigation links President Joe Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme.
The New York Post reports that Comer, the chairman of the Hosue Oversight Committee, made the revelation in a letter that he sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday.
This all comes after a whistleblower revealed to U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley's office that the FBI has a document that shows Biden's involvement in a criminal scheme.
The scheme is said to have occurred back when Biden was the vice president.
After noting that Hunter Biden - the son of then-vice president Joe Biden - was a member of Burisma's board from 2014 to 2019, the Post reports that "The cash seized by Ukrainian officials in 2020 was paid in American $100 bills that were put on display - and matches the amount that Joe Biden allegedly received years earlier."
The outlet adds, "Two-and-a-half weeks later the FBI document accusing Joe Biden of bribery was 'created or modified,' according to Comer's letter."
Comer has now threatened to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress should Wray not hand over the document in accordance with the subpoena.
