Vice President Joe Biden is warning Democratic donors that their money
is needed to avoid ending up with a Senate full of Ted Cruz-like tea
party Republicans.
"We could lose," reads the headline on Biden's fundraising email sent out Sunday, just ahead of Monday's first-quarter deadline.
"If we wake up on Tuesday and find out we came up short, we're in bad shape for November – that is not hyperbole," Biden writes. "Losing will mean more senators like Ted Cruz, and more Tea Party Republicans in the House."
