Majority of Voters Alarmed by Rise of Socialism and Communism in America.

A recent poll has shown that a significant majority of Americans are worried about the rise of socialism and communism in the United States, with notable apprehensions even among Democrats.

Poll Results: The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll indicates that 63% of Americans are concerned about socialism and communism in U.S. politics. This includes 36% who are "very concerned" and 27% who are "somewhat concerned." Only 13% reported being "not at all concerned."

Survey Details: The poll surveyed 2,533 registered voters, comprising 930 Republicans, 930 Democrats, and 673 Independents, conducted from August 12 to August 16, with a margin of error of +/- 2.0%.

Democratic Concerns: Approximately 49% of Democrats expressed some level of concern about socialism, with a significant number more supportive of socialism than capitalism.

Political Implication: The poll reflects the rising influence of groups like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Despite their growing acceptance within the party, far-left ideologies are still generally unpopular; for instance, only 30% of New Yorkers support the DSA.

The findings reveal a widespread concern among Americans regarding socialism and communism's impact on politics, particularly as it gains traction within the Democratic Party, though it remains largely unpopular outside organized support.
