The MOU Is Not Final & Violations Mean Bombs

During the final day of the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains, President Trump was asked if the circulating memorandum of understanding (MoU) was final. He responded that it was not final and threatened military action against Iran if they did not comply, stating they could “go right back to dropping bombs. ” Trump emphasized there are no enforceable terms in the agreement but expressed confidence that Iran would adhere to it.

In global markets, Iranian crude shipments resumed, and gas prices fell to an average of $4.02 per gallon. However, a representative from Iran publicly described their complex feelings toward the U. S. after signing the MoU, mentioning a desire for revenge related to their late leader.

The MoU is said to provide immediate economic relief for Iran, including exemptions for oil exports and banking transactions.
