It Just Keeps Getting Worse for the Southern Poverty Law Center

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) faces serious allegations involving its former official Heidi Beirich. Reports claim she funneled donor money to a white supremacist group while in a romantic relationship with an informant from that group.

● Heidi Beirich, who worked for SPLC from 2012 to 2019, is implicated in a legal case where the SPLC allegedly funneled $1.2 million to hate groups it claimed to oppose.

● Beirich, referred to as ‘Employee-2’ in the indictment, reportedly had a close relationship with an informant known as ‘F-9’ from the neo-Nazi group National Alliance.

● Between 2015 and 2021, approximately $140,000 from SPLC donors was deposited into joint bank accounts held by Beirich and F-9, which covered their personal living expenses.

● The SPLC gained financial and political power by claiming to combat hate, but allegations suggest it inflated threats to maintain funding, targeting dissenters as hate group leaders.

● The SPLC's “hate map” influenced major corporations, resulting in the deplatforming of many individuals and organizations based on its classifications.

● Critics argue that the SPLC should be dissolved, and those harmed by its actions, including individuals and organizations wrongly labeled as hate groups, should be financially compensated.

The accusations against Beirich and the SPLC highlight serious ethical concerns and call for accountability. There are demands for the SPLC's dissolution and reparations for individuals harmed by its practices.
