Recent I&I/TIPP Poll suggests no damage to Trump's 2020 re-election chances
- People thought the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago would tarnish his image in the public eye and damage his future prospects, but it did the opposite
- In August, just 30% of Democrats said they would vote for President Joe Biden, followed by former First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Sen. Bernie Sanders
- There was little change from month to month on the presidential primary question
- Trump has a majority of his party, while Biden barely ekes out a third of the Democrats
Biden is weak across the board within his own constituency, the Democrats
- 28% of women, 33% of blacks and Hispanics, and 48% of independents support Biden
- 59% say Biden avoids talking about inflation, immigration, crime, and other issues, while just 41% say he is fairly raising issues about MAGA Republicans
- 69% agree that Biden avoids key issues that appeal to independents
Another poll from the Trafalgar Group asked if Americans feel safe in America today and the answer was a resounding 68% no and 27% yes.
- The poll also asked: "How likely would you be to vote for a candidate who supports policies which prevent police from detaining criminals charged with violent crimes, such as kidnapping and armed robbery?"
- 95.6% of those surveyed said they would not be likely to, while only 4.5% said they wouldn't mind.
