• Jeffries has placed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in charge of health care and Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE), who identifies as transgender, in charge of caregiving within the affordability agenda.
• Multiple groups have been created, each led by different representatives, to focus on specific areas: housing, gas and utilities, groceries, caregiving, and healthcare.
• Jeffries emphasized the burden of high living costs on working Americans, stating, "everyday Americans can't thrive and can barely survive" in what is described as the wealthiest country.
• He criticized former President Trump and the Republican Party for their policies that he claims have worsened the economic situation for many Americans.
