In one of his legendary dissents, the great Justice Antonin Scalia coined the phrase “a wolf in wolf’s clothing.” It describes a violation or attack that’s so obvious it fails to muster deception. The wolf didn’t bother to put on the sheep’s clothing. Well, there’s another wolf, Former U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf of Massachusetts, who has become a left-wing judicial mouthpiece attacking President Trump in complete breach of decorum and with little semblance of integrity. More on Wolf below, but first, here are some of the updates from the Article III Project:
If you read the mainstream news on Judge Wolf, they will claim he is a “Reagan appointee” and fail to mention that Judge Wolf was approved only with the “blue slip” approval of liberal Senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry. Recently, Wolf resigned his lifetime post and has come out howling against President Trump. Wolf blasted the Supreme Court, whining that the court has ruled 17 out of 20 times in the Trump administration’s favor on its emergency docket. If Wolf were honest, he’d complain that district judges in Massachusetts ruled against the Trump administration on 27 out of 29 temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions. Wolf even claimed he wants to be a “spokesperson” for other judges. This is an obvious attempt to circumvent ethical constraints. Sitting judges cannot speak out against President Trump, according to the Code of Conduct for United States Judges. They cannot use Wolf as their mouthpiece, either. The House and Senate Judiciary Committees need to subpoena Wolf to determine which judges use Wolf to trash President Trump. If Wolf refuses to divulge the information, he should face contempt of Congress charges just like Trump allies Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro did. If the identities of judges who speak through Wolf to bash President Trump become public, every one of those judges must face impeachment proceedings. Conservatives cannot let anything slide—especially in the battle for the courts. Support Article III Project as we demand accountability and return to constitutional judiciary >> |
