Senators Risch and Paul introduce bill to audit the Federal Reserve

 U. S. Senators Jim Risch from Idaho and Rand Paul from Kentucky have introduced a new bill aimed at auditing the Federal Reserve’s operations.

• The bill is called the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, or "Audit the Fed."

• It seeks to improve congressional oversight of the Federal Reserve's decision-making.

• Senator Risch stated that the public has the right to know about the Federal Reserve's impact on the economy.

• Senator Paul highlighted the Federal Reserve's significant influence on the U. S. economy and urged Congress to hold it accountable.

• The bill requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to audit the Federal Reserve within one year and report results to Congress within 90 days.

This legislation aims to enhance transparency and accountability of the Federal Reserve in managing the nation's economy.
