DHS Resistance Leader Burned in Hidden Camera Video Detailing How They Will Fight Kristi Noem

Politics appears to influence the activities of the civil service, despite its supposed "apolitical" nature. Recently, President Trump placed around 50-60 top executives from the US Agency for International Development on administrative leave for allegedly trying to undermine his plans to cut grants, including those for projects like transgender Nigerian dance troupes.

Reports of resistance within the federal government are circulating, though they may be exaggerated. One incident involves Brandon Wright, a GS-14 IT manager at the Department of Homeland Security, who was recorded saying that career bureaucrats do not let political appointees interfere with their work. He expressed strong dislike for Kristi Noem, a political appointee, and claimed that bureaucratic layers allow them to filter directives from leadership, minimizing their influence.

Wright criticized Noem’s leadership and stated that her understanding of the Department of Homeland Security is lacking. Following the release of these comments, the DHS announced that Wright has been placed on leave and is under investigation, with potential termination on the horizon.

While civil servants may hold personal political opinions, they must not let these interfere with their work or resist agency leadership. This situation highlights the importance of adhering to their roles without political interference.
