Appeals Court Hands Texas Major Victory Over Biden Administration's Reckless Border Policies

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals sided with Texas by temporarily stopping the Biden administration from removing the state's razor wire barriers along the border near Eagle Pass.

Texas, led by Governor Greg Abbott, has actively tackled the issue of illegal immigration, especially in areas with high numbers of migrants.

The lawsuit from Texas against the Biden administration, filed in October, claimed that the federal government was illegally damaging state property and weakening Texas's ability to prevent illegal immigration.

Initially, a federal court agreed with Texas and stopped agents from cutting the wire.

On a single day, there were over 12,600 encounters at the border, with agents in Eagle Pass processing over 4,500 people and holding 5,300 in custody.

Adding to Texas's tough stance on immigration, Governor Abbott signed a law allowing state law enforcement to arrest people suspected of illegal entry.

The decision by the Fifth Circuit Court is a significant victory for Texas in its efforts to control its borders and handle illegal immigration.
