Do not know if this is true or not but the matter was raised in a recent White House press conference. A previous note dealt with this subject but the way the matter was handled raises eyebrows. Quote: "WATCH: Reporter Asks Jen Psaki About Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theory Involving FBI During White House Briefing. A zany Jan. 6 conspiracy theory promoted by some members of Congress made its way into a White House briefing when Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked to categorically respond to it. At Tuesday’s press briefing, veteran Dallas Morning News White House Correspondent Todd Gillman apparently tried to put to rest a conspiracy theory that alleges the FBI helped provoke the Capitol insurrection — a theory that counts members of Congress among its adherents. “Some members of Congress have been promoting this theory that the FBI had at least one provocateur in the January 6 mob,” Gillman said, and asked “Can the White House say unequivocally that there were no federal agents who provoked illegal attacks?” Psaki replied that “FBI Director Wray has already said that the FBI had no evidence of this baseless conspiracy, and he would certainly know.”
The conspiracy theory revolves around a viral video featuring a rally attendee named Ray Epps, whose behavior caused Trump supporters to accuse him of being a “fed.”
But Epps has cooperated with the Jan. 6 committee, and told the committee that “he was not employed by, working with, or acting at the direction of any law enforcement agency on Jan 5th or 6th or at any other time, & that he has never been an informant for the FBI or any other law enforcement agency.”
Gillman also noted that “over the last week, we’ve seen a number of House Republicans announcing billions of dollars worth of infrastructure projects in their districts. These are Republicans who voted against that bill.”
“What has the White House got to say about that?” Gillman asked a smirking Psaki. “We welcome their support for the president’s agenda, an agenda that was supported by some Republicans, not the majority. And hopefully, they’ll take the right vote to support their communities and jobs, job creation in the future. It will make them think twice,” Psaki said." This is a most interesting bit of insight regarding Nancy Pelosi's unlawful Insurrection Commission. If they lose control of the House of Representatives in November, which seems likely, the worm will turn. Obviously, Nancy did not anticipate this possibility. Quote: "Nancy Pelosi made her inner circle feel like they rule the world. But that may end soon. Because this prediction has Speaker Pelosi on pins and needles after Newt Gringrich said two harsh words on Fox News. Newt Gingrich made a stunning prediction about Pelosi’s core group of Democrats and RINOs on the January 6 Select Committee. Gingrich predicts the fallout will be ugly—complete with prison sentences. After 35 years on the hill, Nancy Pelosi seems to spend most of her time trying to outdo herself when it comes to messing up our country. Her carefully selected January 6 Committee is a pinnacle achievement. The hand-picked group, with Adam Schiff in charge, is busy doing all they can to invent political crimes against Donald Trump and his supporters. Now it looks like the full-on assault on the Constitution, rule of law, and civil liberties could backfire in a big way.
Newt Gingrich, former Republican Speaker of the House, hammered the committee for going after innocent Americans, including some who weren’t even in the Capitol on January 6. “Well, you have, both with Attorney General Garland and with this select committee on January 6, people who have run amok,” Gingrich said on Fox News. “They are breaking the rules. They are going after people in a way which is reminiscent of the British monarchy using closed-door systems that we outlawed deliberately because we’d seen it. We knew what it was like. And they’re running over people’s civil liberties. And what they need to understand is, on January 4 next year, you’re going to have a Republican majority in the House and a Republican majority in the Senate.”
Gingrich predicts that if Republicans won the majority in Congress this November—which becomes more likely as Democrats push their luck on every front—there will be a massive shake-up. And committee members who are blowing off the law right now could end up facing repercussions as serious as the violations of law they’re committing now. In an op-ed he published in Newsweek Gingrich even suggested the first committee the next Republican leadership team should assemble: “Select Committee on Congressional Dishonesty and Abuse of Power.”
