As we've previously reported, ever since Stacey Abrams declared her candidacy in the 2022 Georgia gubernatorial race, the push has been on from her campaign, her supporters, and the mainstream media to completely revise her history of alleging that the 2018 gubernatorial election in the state was "Stolen" from her by then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp.
In other instances, the lie is one of omission, like in this New York Times puff piece on Abrams where not once was it mentioned that Abrams believes the election she lost by 55,000 votes was "Rigged." In contrast, any piece you read from the Times about former President Donald Trump makes sure to note that he believes the 2020 presidential election was stolen - even if the piece has nothing to do with elections.
"So I can tell you for a fact that Republicans are going to use this against you and ask you questions. You've answered it before, but they're going to say it's hypocritical for Democrats to criticize people that questioned the integrity of an election when you did the same thing. One even said you were ahead of your time in claiming the results of an election were rigged," Kernen said.
Abrams then proceeded to gaslight, telling Kernen that "What I've always spoken to is the ability of voters to cast their ballots and have their ballots counted. There is not a single politician, including myself, who is entitled to win an election, and that was never my point."
"And sadly, in 2021, in response to the safest election in Georgia history, we saw the promulgation of SB 202, which makes it harder for voters to participate in elections," Abrams proclaimed.
With rare exceptions, the mainstream media has allowed her to get away with it - the same MSM that after the 2020 presidential election said that any candidate who wouldn't accept election results was a "Danger to democracy."
As I've said before, Republicans should use every opportunity they get to remind people of what Abrams has said since she lost in November 2018, because she has done quite the juggling act in attempting to paint her race as different from the 2020 presidential election.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
Elections have consequences, so it is important that voters who want to save our democracy, should v
