This note offer a few informative reads followed by items discussing the tragic events in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is a tutorial
discussing the effects of totalitarianism has on people and nations.
Quote: "It is vitally important for Americans to understand that the
collectivist dictatorship of the future (that writers like Aldous Huxley
and George Orwell were warning us about) is not going to take over our
country instantaneously as in Nazi Germany or violently as in Soviet
Russia, and certainly not by openly declaring that it is going to take
over. It is coming about very slowly and subtly by the adoption of false
ideas and a subconscious self-deception among the intellectuals that
lead our nation, by corruption of the word symbols that the people use,
and by a philosophical distortion of the reality around them. Such
deceptions and corruptions make the people believe that what they are
getting is some new enlightened kind of freedom, some sort of
“progressive,” “creative,” and “benevolent” government that will erect a
great utopia of material wealth, where all men will be perpetually
secure and successful no matter what the levels of their capability,
intelligence, and energy are." http://afr.org/the-new-totalitarianism/
This is a very informative
item. The author takes on the idiocy so prevalent the self anointed
members of the so called intelligentsia who believe it is their right,
no their obligation, to tell the rest of us how to live our lives.
Quote: "What we have been
seeing worldwide, from India to the UK to the US, is the rebellion
against the inner circle of no-skin-in-the-game policymaking “clerks”
and journalists-insiders, that class of paternalistic semi-intellectual
experts with some Ivy league, Oxford-Cambridge, or similar label-driven
education who are telling the rest of us 1) what to do, 2) what to eat,
3) how to speak, 4) how to think… and 5) who to vote for." https://medium.com/@nntaleb/the-intellectual-yet-idiot-13211e2d0577
These are wise words and rightly refutes the left's illogical thinking about the Second Amendment. Quote: "Our Founding Fathers were men filled with common sense – a trait going the way of the panda bear in our modern times. It’s what led them to draft and adopt The 2nd Amendment, the right to “keep and bear arms.” Why? For no other reason than to restrain evil. The 2nd Amendment is not an endorsement of hunting, my friends. It’s a means to prevent the evil that is in the heart of every single one of us from gaining the upper hand. The Founding Fathers knew that the heart of man is dark, and when darkness reigns, freedom wanes." http://townhall.com/columnists/michaelanthony/2016/09/19/why-i-hate-evil-far-more-than-the-2nd-amendment-and-you-should-too-n2220572?
This piece deals with a
reality of which far, far too many Americans are oblivious. Please
read. Quote: "Most Americans don’t realize that all revolutions aren’t
the result of overt force. Hitler, for instance, was voted into power in Germany, as was Hugo Chávez in Venezuela.
Currently in the United States we are in the process of such a
revolution by the progressive controlled Democrat party – sadly too many
Americans are oblivious to what is happening." http://eaglerising.com/36948/the-progressive-takeover-of-america-were-in-the-midst-of-a-coup/ Don't think for one minute this cannot happen to us.
This
item is about intellectuals vs. real thinkers. Quote: "Real thinkers
do not ignore contrary evidence or silence opposing views, and they
certainly do not falsify their data -- something that has happened more
than once among the climate-heating orthodox community. Similar stifling of free debate is evident on many issues, where the insult has replaced the factually-based argument. Obama,
Clinton, and some journalists suggest those with contrary views on
abortion, immigration, the economy, crime, Iran, Israel and terrorism
are haters of women, racists, war mongers and xenophobes. They always seem to say: “We know the problems and the answers, and so, be good enough to stay out of our way.” Throughout
his time in office, Obama pictured himself and his team as experts on
the Middle East, which has since sunk into greater chaos, with great
waves of bloodshed and refugees, as terrorism has expanded. Other
world leaders who acted like they knew better but are now out the door
or on their way are German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Britain’s
ex-Prime Minister David Cameron. Their heritage is a refugee crisis and
Britain leaving the EU. So
is it any surprise when the search for common sense leads the common
man to spurn the so-called elites and so-called intellectuals?" http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/09/trump_and_the_antielite_intellectual_moment_.html
Obama remains on target in
his quest to divide and conquer. He continues his racial and gender
bigotry for purely political purposes. http://townhall.com/columnists/michaelbrown/2016/09/20/president-obama-continues-to-divide-americans-n2220868?
It is reasonable to question his motives. He seemingly does not
recognize (or ignores, even welcomes) the real dangerous conditions
across the globe, let alone things ongoing in our country that are
directly attributable to Muslim radicals. Just days after two
Islamic terrorist events in our country he announces he wants to dump
more more un-vetted Muslims on us. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/days-after-attacks-obama-pitches-more-refugees/article/2602255 Hillary pledges to up the anti and bring in a million more.
Another
very interesting item. While the FBI has not declared such, according
to the FBI's definition of domestic terrorism, Obama meets the
mark....Read the FBI definitions and you can judge for yourself if he
and his activities comport with their definition. http://endingthefed.com/fbi-classifies-president-barack-obama-as-a-domestic-terrorist.html
