Crime: Chicago vs. Red States?

The interview highlights Governor Pritzker's inability to defend himself regarding high crime rates in Chicago, a city he leads. Instead of addressing the issues, he shifts the blame to former President Trump, a common tactic among Democrats who struggle to justify their policies. Pritzker's criticism of Trump centers on alleged discrimination against cities in blue states, despite the fact that crime also exists in red states.

There is skepticism about Trump’s suggestion to deploy the Illinois National Guard to Chicago for law enforcement, as it may conflict with the Posse Comitatus Act, which restricts military involvement in domestic policing. Unlike previous instances in Los Angeles, current conditions in Chicago do not warrant such action.

Lastly, the author questions why voters in blue cities continue to elect leaders who contribute to rising crime, suggesting that Democratic governance is a self-inflicted issue.
