Buttigieg’s Boyfriend Gets Conflict of Interest Job

Chasten Buttigieg, husband of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, joined KNP Communications as a senior consultant Chasten is a middle-school drama teacher and theater artist who parlayed his boyfriend's failed campaign in the 2020 Democratic primary into a book deal and a Harvard fellowship.

While the Free Beacon focuses on the Democrat angle, KNP appears to have some transportation sector involvement.

Matthew Kohut, its managing partner, appeared at the National Association of City Transportation Officials.

Arlington County Board Chair Christian Dorsey ran into some trouble previously, and it was noted that he was earning money from KNP. Dorsey is a senior trainer with KNP and "Serves on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Board, is a commissioner on the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission".

KNP, as noted, doesn't disclose its clients, but it does have a Buttigieg connection.

"The board agreed to pay KNP Communications of Washington, D.C., $5,000 for public speaking and communication training for members of the mayor's executive team and communications management."

The mayor at the time appears to have been Buttigieg.
