‘You Will Own Nothing, And Like It’ — The Real ‘Clean Energy’ Future

President Joe Biden talking about the climate "crisis" and how it "is literally an existential threat to our nation and to the world." Right about the time Biden was giving this speech, the World Economic Forum painted a picture of what Biden’s future would look like.

There aren’t enough metals around to power everything with “clean energy”

  • “This transition from fossil fuels to renewables will need large supplies of critical metals such as cobalt, lithium, nickel, to name a few. Shortages of these critical minerals could raise the costs of clean energy technologies.”
  • Winnie Yeh, the World Economic Forum’s head of responsible sourcing
  • The World Bank estimates that the production of these minerals would have to increase by 500% by 2050 to meet the demand for clean energy
  • This would require massively mining the stuff, which is hugely damaging to the environment and far more damaging than drilling for oil
  • So, if raping the earth and ravaging the seas to get the minerals needed for "clean energy" are off the table, what's left?
  • Just get everyone to give up ownership of their cars

Even if the left's "clean energy" vision were to become a reality, the impact on global temperatures would be negligible

  • And to achieve that meaningless result, we would either have to ravage the land and oceans, or learn to live in a Soviet-style state, or some even worse combination.

This is the future Biden intends to build

  • We say, no thanks. We'll keep our gas-powered cars and trucks, our cell phones and laptops, thank you very much.
  • An ownership society powered by fossil fuels is what has produced today's unprecedented and widespread prosperity. We hope there are enough other people willing to say no to Biden's future that it never comes to pass.

The Green New Deal would have caused energy costs to soar, choked economic growth, and cost from $51 trillion to $93 trillion over its first decade.

  • Instead, it was initially conceived as a "how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing"
  • So far, we've avoided Ocasio-Cortez's reign of terror in California, but environmental tyrannies continue to accumulate

Clean Energy Exploitations

  • 100% organic material is pumped out of the ground and flows in pipelines to refineries to be manufactured into usable oil derivatives that are the basis of more than 6,000 products for society and transportation fuels needed by the world’s heavy-weight and long-range infrastructures

Human rights abuses and environmental degradation are directly connected to the mining for the exotic minerals and metals that are required to manufacture wind turbines, solar panels, and EV batteries.

  • There is virtually non-existing transparency of the environmental degradation and the human rights abuses occurring in developing countries with yellow, brown, and black skinned people
  • In developing countries, these mining operations exploit child labor and are responsible for the most egregious human rights violations of vulnerable minority populations.

An EV is not a zero-emission vehicle

  • 80% of electricity generated to charge the batteries is from coal, natural gas, and nuclear
  • 20% of the EVs on the road are coal-powered
  • 40% of EVs are natural gas powered
  • Twenty% are nuclear-powered.
  • Most exotic minerals and metals used to build EV batteries are mined in developing countries
