Republicans Weigh Garland Impeachment As Biden DOJ Drags Feet on Extremist Abortion Protesters

Biden Administration

  • The Biden Justice Department has yet to take action against abortion extremists menacing pro-life clinics and members of the Supreme Court.
  • It is a federal crime to demonstrate outside of a judge's home with intent to influence deliberations.
  • Regular pro-abortion demonstrations outside of the homes of the conservative justices seem to fit the bill exactly. The justice department has taken no action against protesters.

Jordan wonders whether the Justice Department and the White House are following a template.

  • "The key question we would like to find out, if in fact the American people put us in control, is was this similar to what happened with parents at school board meetings? In other words, was the Biden White House working with some outside left wing influence groups, and also then communicating that information to the DOJ?"

House Republicans will be better positioned than their Senate counterparts to force Biden officials to cooperate if they stonewall investigators

  • Senate committee rules incentivize, but do not require, bipartisan cooperation when issuing subpoenas.
  • House committees have historically taken the lead on compelled testimony and sharing of evidence.
