This is an interesting analysis of the reasons segments of states are pursuing secession to other states primarily because of political differences.  This item talks about how this is playing out in the state of Oregon. California governor Democrat Gavin Newsom is obviously not nearly intelligent enough to run anything, especially a large state.  Here are some examples of what he thinks are good ideas.  The internet erupted with disparaging comments at his totally foolish ideas.  Californians must be embarrassed by his inept leadership along with the Democrat denizens who control the legislature.  There is plenty of evidence of his and his party's incompetence.
