For the most part the Federal Government apparatchik does not understand
the difference between a democracy and a republic. The United States
are a republic comprised of many states and as the Constitution
specifies most of the delegated powers reside with the individual states
(and the people). As established the federal component was to be small
and less powerful than the combined states. Over time, however, the
laxity of exercising their responsibilities the federal
government slowly but surely gathered unto itself (the executive,
legislative and judicial branches) much of the powers rightly the domain
of the states and today seeks to serve as the "ruler" with the states
and the people it's subjects. Given the present arrogance demonstrated
by so many members of the federal apparatchik the states are beginning
to wake up and assert the powers granted them by the Constitution. To
that end here is some good news for a change.
