In the below link this expert in economics explains why he is unable to reconcile sound economics with progressive/leftist/Democrat policies. Quote: "Economists, fancying themselves liberal and advocates of the working poor, deny the lessons of hundreds of years of economic theory and history. Most act out of expediency to win favor with the media and powerful politicians." http://www.newsmax.com/Peter-Morici/economist-liberal-Obama-minimum-wage/2014/06/30/id/579912/
The media and their "go to"
experts in economics are working overtime trying to make a bad and
worsening economy look good. But their pretending does not work
anymore. Facts don't lie and so called economic forecasters for the past
several years have, lets just say, been woefully and consistently
wrong. They and the Administration say we are in recovery but that it
is just improving too slowly. The facts, however, say otherwise.
Things are not improving. They may even be getting worse. Quote: "Last
week, the establishment press largely shrugged off the awful and
ominous news that the economy shrank at an annual rate of 2.9 percent
during this year’s first quarter. When they deigned to notice it, they
usually told their readers, listeners and viewers that happy days have
now returned." http://pjmedia.com/blog/economy-in-another-recession/
This man says that the state of
our economy is nothing to write home about. Quote: "There are two
headwinds that the "Kool-Aid drinkers" at the federal level are still
denying, according to Stockman. The first is the fact that inflation in
things that matter is accelerating, and the second is that the American
household savings rate is plummeting." http://www.moneynews.com/StreetTalk/David-Stockman-recovery-economy-Keynes/2014/06/30/id/580012/
