Thought you might like to know. http://www.humanevents.com/2014/05/27/democrat-states-raise-spending-quadruple-the-rate-of-republican-states/ Now lets take a look at how our bipartisan federal government manages our tax monies. Big difference.
This is our money the government throws away via extraordinarily fraudulent and wasteful practices. http://personalliberty.com/hhs-wasted-62-billion-fraudulent-improper-payouts-2013/
This is most interesting and begs for term limits for elected officials. http://www.humanevents.com/2014/05/19/new-report-links-longer-congressional-tenures-to-increased-govt-spending/
This too is most interesting. http://www.humanevents.com/2014/05/19/big-government-wastes-charity-as-well-as-taxpayer-money/
VA rewards incompetent employees. http://www.newsmax.com/Murdock/VA-Bonuses-hospitals-patient/2014/05/29/id/574054/
A Treasury watchdog’s recent report estimated that the federal government lost $11.2 billion on its 2009 bailout of General Motors, almost $1 billion more than the Treasury Department’s own estimate of $10.3 billion. http//www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/apr/30/federal-government-lost-112b-gm-bailout-report/ Well, it wasn't' the federal government who got ripped off. It was US tax payers. And, the new government salvaged GM is already in deep "do-do" with a bountiful supply of very expensive recalls. Is the government thinking about asking taxpayers to once again reward GM for its bad behavior, bad management?
Do they deserve another taxpayer bailout? http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-05-15/don-t-bail-out-gm-again
Can the federal government do anything right? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/may/29/golden-hammer-multi-billion-dollar-software-infras/
Take a peek at these items to see how the government wastes money on an unnecessary contracts. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/05/14/obamacare-contractor-pays-employees-to-do-nothing-whistleblower-says/ Others are also paid to do nothing. Great gig if you can get it, huh? We tax payers are such nice guys aren't we? http://dailycaller.com/2014/05/20/yet-another-obamacare-contractor-office-paid-to-do-nothing/
Do government unions have a right to taxpayer funds to further their cause? http://washingtonexaminer.com/irs-workers-spent-521725-hours-on-union-activities-cost-taxpayers-23.5m
Why is it not news that 318,000 federal employees owe $3.3 billion in back taxes? And, why have they not been fired? It is obvious that they do not go after their "own" as aggressively as they do the rest of us. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_BACK_TAXES_FEDERAL_WORKERS?
Other items (among many more) you might wish to peruse. Think about this stuff. These are just symptoms of a grossly oversized, bloated, irresponsible, unethical, self-serving government having lost sight of the fact that it works for us and That We Are Not Its Subjects. It is bad need of serious reform. The same goes for most local and state governments. But, nothing will change until and unless we become active and take charge. Please do your part using your influence, contacts, resources, abilities working with others equally committed to the same cause.
