The real unemployment rate for December 2012 is closer to 23 percent,
not the 7.8 percent reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
according to economist John Williams.
Williams, author of the Shadow Government Statistics website, argues that the federal government manipulates the reporting of key economic data for political purposes, using methodologies that tend to mask bad news.

I have just finished reading a story about a wonderful guy who struggles to find a job (I mean any kind of job). He is afraid of becoming homeless. And there we go, I am reading this post about unemployment rate heading up only. Thanx a lot to this shadow site. Now that I see a real statistic, understand why people so desperate, especially considering that US took out one more $4trillion debt. When will they finally understand, that this is not some paydayloan?! You can’t just extend a debt limit!
