More pointedly, if our loving God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent - which He is - why then did His own Son have to be tortured and executed? Countless people throughout the ages have asked, "If God is love, why would he require his own son to endure such torture and death?" Indeed, many have judged God, concluding: "I could never worship a god like that."

From the ultimate expression of love - "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friend" - to the simple act of being patient with others, love implies forbearance, longsuffering and kindness in the midst of problems.

The only way God could "Create" loving children was for us to have a choice: a choice to love Him, or to be our own god - literally, a choice to make something more important than our own lives, well-being and comfort - a choice to love, in other words - and to be able to demonstrate that love, which involves suffering.

Shortly before His Passion and death, Jesus gave his disciples what He called "a new commandment" - namely, "That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." Of course, since He had previously brought forth the Old Testament commandments to love God "With all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" and to "Love thy neighbor as thyself", how was this Last Supper commandment then "New"?

If God wanted to demonstrate His love for mankind, how else could He do it? Go ahead, tell me! What could He do to demonstrate the depth of His love? Make mountains of pomegranates for everyone? Give everyone a great job and a big house and three luxury cars? Give us everything our proud little hearts desire?

No, if God wanted to demonstrate His love for us, and at the same time provide us with the perfect, ultimate example of real love for our fellow man, what could be a more perfect expression of love than the willing suffering and death of His Son - Who while dying asked God to forgive His tormentors? The sheer beauty, logic and power of it is transcendent.

Jesus didn't say, "Just talk about me and you'll be saved." Rather, He said: "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." And "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." And " he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

USA has recorded over 1 Million Excess Deaths among the over 65’s since the FDA “approved” the COVID-19 Vaccine

The elderly were offered the COVID-19 vaccine first and the number of excess deaths recorded was astounding.

During the first 20 weeks of 2021 150,085 excess deaths were recorded among people aged over 65's compared to the 2015 to 2019 five-year average.

Behind Massive Mail-In Ballot Push Is A Little-Noticed Executive Order

The allegation relates to President Joe Biden's Executive Order 14019, which states, "The head of each agency shall evaluate ways in which the agency can, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, promote voter registration and voter participation."

President Biden's executive order directed federal agencies to select "Approved, nonpartisan third-party organizations and state officials to provide voter registration services on agency premises."

President Biden's executive order was called "Visionary" by Ceridwen Cherry, a former staff attorney on the American Civil Liberties Union Voting Rights Project, who said, "In a democracy, governments at all levels should be doing everything they can to help eligible people register to vote."

How Federal Agencies Enact EO 14019 Prominent among the many federal agencies carrying out the executive order is the Department of Health and Human Services, which announced in 2022 that federal health centers across the nation now have the discretion to participate in activities-including voter registration-that are outside the scope of core department activities.

"President Biden's executive order empowering every federal agency to engage in electioneering on the taxpayers' dime raises serious ethical and legal concerns [and] is inherently political and directed primarily at groups expected to vote for one party over another," he said.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro responded by saying President Biden's executive order "Recognizes that there are too many obstacles to voting" and it is in place to "Expand access to voter registration and election information."

Their complaint in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania asks a judge to declare three actions unconstitutional: a voter registration executive order made by President Biden, a voter registration action by Mr. Shapiro, and some Department of State directives.

Judge Rebukes DOJ Arguments Against Release Of Jan. 6 Defendant

The order, signed by U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden on March 26, will grant the release of Kevin Seefried, a defendant convicted for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach, pending the appeal of his conviction.

"Seefried's current motion is déjà vu all over again," Judge McFadden wrote.

Judge McFadden, in his memorandum order, outlined that the release is premised on two conditions mandated by 18 U.S.C. 3143(b): a defendant is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the community if released, and that the appeal raises a substantial question likely to result in a significantly lesser sentence or reversal.

Judge McFadden found that Mr. Seefried met both conditions, noting a lack of evidence to suggest Mr. Seefried would flee or pose a danger, and that the Supreme Court's review of Fischer represents a substantial question of law that could materially affect Mr. Seefried's conviction.

Judge McFadden also noted U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves's argument of 2024 being an election year involving "What will likely be another fiercely contested presidential election" and if released, the Court "Would be releasing defendant into the same political maelstrom that led him to commit his crimes in the first place."

Judge McFadden said those arguments were "Unavailing."

The decision reflects on the procedural aspects and standards for release pending appeal, challenging the Justice Department's arguments against Mr. Seefried's release.

Victoria White Files $2 Million Suit For Police Using 'Excessive' Force In Jan. 6 Beating

Federal civil rights lawsuit filed in Washington alleges Metropolitan Police Department officers illegally struck Ms. White dozens of times on Jan. 6.

"Bagshaw reaches over his fellow officers and violently strikes Ms. White in the head with his baton five times in seven seconds," the suit alleges.

In another instance, "Bagshaw moves his way from behind his fellow officers towards Ms. White to get a better striking distance and begins another assault. He spears and pokes White with his baton about the head, neck, and face to inflict maximum pain. Ledge officer sprays mace on Ms. White,"according to the lawsuit.

Ms. White did not resist police and would be considered at most a "Passive resister" using the MDP Use of Force Framework, the lawsuit said.

The suit outlines the beating first documented in The Epoch Times on Dec. 23, 2021, after Ms. White's then-attorney Joseph McBride secured the release of previously sealed security video from the tunnel.

The newspaper's analysis of the CCTV video showed Ms. White was struck by police 39 times in a little over four minutes.

Mr. McBride filed suit on Ms. White's behalf on Jan. 5, 2022, but she withdrew the suit in November 2022 to concentrate on defending herself against criminal charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice for her time at the U.S. Capitol.

Republicans Score Win In Court Battle Over Pennsylvania Ballot Requirements

"Federal law prohibits a state from erecting immaterial roadblocks, such as this, to voting," Judge Baxter, appointed by former President Donald Trump, wrote at the time, referring to the Pennsylvania law.

According to the law, a voter casting a ballot by mail must mark the ballot, then place it inside a provided envelope.

"If this ruling stands, thousands of Pennsylvania voters could lose their vote over a meaningless paperwork error. The ballots in question in this case come from voters who are eligible and who met the submission deadline," Mike Lee, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, said in a statement.

"In passing the Civil Rights Act, Congress put a guardrail in place to be sure that states don't erect unnecessary barriers that disenfranchise voters. It's unfortunate that the court failed to recognize that principle. Voters lose as a result of this ruling."

Justice Samuel Alito has said that the Pennsylvania law did not appear to violate the Civil Rights Act provision because it did not deny people the right to vote.

Judge Ambro offered similar rationale, writing that the provision "Targets laws that restrict who may vote" and "Does not preempt state requirements on how qualified voters may cast a valid ballot, regardless what purpose those rules serve."

U.S. Circuit Judge Patty Shwartz, an appointee of President Barack Obama and the third member of the panel that ruled, said in a dissent that the provision "Means that state actors cannot deprive a voter of the right to vote due to an error or omission he makes on papers that he must complete to have his ballot counted, including on papers distinct from application or registration forms, if the mistake is not relevant to the State's ability to ascertain whether he is qualified under state law to vote in the election."

Democrats Furious As Georgia Lawmakers Pass Bill That Could Impact 2024 Presidential Election

Georgia lawmakers on Thursday approved new rules for challenging voters and qualifying for the state's presidential ballot that could impact the 2024 presidential race in the battleground state.

Senate Bill 189 passed the House by a vote of 101 to 73 and the Senate by a vote of 33-22, sending it to Gov. Brian Kemp for his signature or veto.

Republicans in Georgia have repeatedly floated election changes in the wake of claims by former President Donald Trump and other Republicans that he lost Georgia's 16 electoral votes in 2020 because of fraud.

The bill also spells out what constitutes "Probable cause" for upholding challenges to voter eligibility, which could lead to voters being removed from the rolls.

Democrats slammed the provision, saying it would enable more baseless attacks on voters that would overwhelm election administrators and disenfranchise people.

More than 100,000 voters have been challenged in recent years by Republican activists who say they are rooting out fraudulent registrations, with thousands of challenges submitted at a time in some large Georgia counties.

State lawmakers already have sent bills to the governor that would require audits of more than one statewide election, add an additional security feature on ballots, restrict who can serve as poll workers to U.S. citizens and allow a reduced number of voting machines.

Connecticut Democrats Eye Election Reform After Fiasco In Bridgeport Mayoral Race, Investigations

Democrats in Connecticut are pursuing election reform following a "Redo" election for the Bridgeport mayoral race which has resulted in multiple investigations regarding ballot harvesting.

Since the 2020 presidential election, former President Donald Trump and other Republicans have raised concerns about election irregularities and are often called "Election deniers" by Democrats and the media.

The Bridgeport mayoral election that began last fall concluded in February with a win for the incumbent Democratic mayor, amid multiple election fraud complaints and investigations.

A new mayoral election was ordered by a judge in November after a video was posted online that appeared to show a supporter of incumbent Democratic Mayor Joe Ganim stuffing stacks of papers into an absentee ballot drop box during the September Democratic mayoral primary election.

Gomes' campaign told Just the News in February that in the trial on the September primary election, the mayor's legal team "Withdrew their defense that the Gomes campaign committed misconduct, and did not raise it in any post-trial briefing." Ganim won both the redo primary election in January against Gomes and the general election in February, in which Gomes ran as an independent candidate.

"Referrals are not proof of wrongdoing, but an important step to ensure that our elections are secure." Thomas' office also has two election reform proposals advancing through the state legislature in an effort "To close loopholes observed by our election monitors." One of the proposals is Senate Bill 441, which would create a 17-member board to address election administration issues that are beyond the jurisdictions of both the SEEC and the secretary's office.

Since Trump and other Republicans have raised concerns about election irregularities in the 2020 presidential election, they have frequently been labeled "Election deniers." Hillary Clinton herself has often declared Trump was an "Illegitimate president" and suggested that "He knows that he stole the 2016 presidential election." However, multiple Democrats sued over alleged election fraud last year and dozens of them have claimed election fraud and irregularities since at least the 2000 presidential election.

Baltimore Takes It On The Chin-Again

A normal month in Baltimore, my family’s home for the past 21 years, is difficult enough—high crime, high poverty, high taxes, old schools, old infrastructure, and questionable governance. In a city full of decent, hard-working souls these chronic urban problems hit some residents much harder than others.

Then a massive cargo ship catastrophically careens off course and takes out the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the middle of the night sending multiple people plunging into the ice cold Patapsco River, but shutting down the Port of Baltimore for an indefinite period of time, and likely crippling regional traffic flow and commerce for months or years.

Beyond the loss of lives, all port activity will now grind to a halt since this is the only way in and out of the area.

"The channel is going to be closed. That means any of the larger vessels that are in the Inner Harbor Port of Baltimore-inside of the Key Bridge-are going to remain there until further notice. All the other ships coming up the Chesapeake Bay are going to have to go on anchorage or divert to another port."

For 13 straight years, the port has led the nation in importing and exporting cars and light trucks.

The port supports about 15,300 direct jobs, according to the state, and another 140,000 jobs are linked to activity at the port.

A major highway reconstruction project on the west side of the I-695 loop-the Baltimore Beltway-commenced this past Monday.

Given the bridge collapse on the southeast side of the loop, this stretch of highway will presumably handle even more car traffic than normal plus more north-south truck traffic that isn't allowed to go through either the Baltimore Harbor or Fort McHenry tunnels.

Easter Reflections: George Washington's Farewell Address In Today's America

George Washington’s exhortations and admonitions are residues of a lost and probably unrecoverable past. What that means for us now and in the future is sobering to contemplate.

I feel stymied by these contrasts, so I thought I would reprise, with some updates, a column featuring George Washington that I wrote for a prior Easter.

I thought about such disjunctions between then and now when reading through Washington's Farewell Address recently.

The document is known as Washington's "Farewell Address," though Washington did not deliver it orally.

Anyone who has read the Farewell Address will recall Washington's stirring warnings against "The fury of party spirit," foreign entanglements, his cautions against excessive debt, and his insistence on the place of religion as the foundation for civic order.

Devotion to the union, Washington says near the beginning of the address, is "The palladium of your political safety and prosperity." What a splendid deployment of the word "Palladium," a "Safeguard" or "Protection," from Παλλάδιον, a statue of Pallas Athena that guarded Troy!

Yes, we are, and, as Washington warned, such divisions, quite apart from the domestic squalor they foster, open "The door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions." Has President Xi read the Farewell Address?

Biden Admin Bans "Religious Designs" For Easter, Declares It Transgender Day

Children of the National Guard are prohibited from submitting religious Easter egg designs for the 2024 "Celebrating National Guard Families" art event at the White House.

The art contest is part of the White House's Easter traditions, which include the annual Easter Egg Roll.

The flyer for the contest states that an Easter egg design submission "Must not include any questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements."

Instead, the Biden regime is pushing Transgender themes.

"I, Joseph R. Biden Jr., president of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility," the White House announced Friday.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said on social media that the "Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter" and called the decision "Outrageous and abhorrent."

In 1994, our family took its first international trip, going to visit family on both sides who lived in England.

We were met at the airport by my wife's older cousin, Johnny, who was a successful London architect.

Much of my wife's extended family, including Johnny, were able to escape Nazi Germany.

Johnny's mother had gone to the Berlin airport in the late Thirties with her children and boldly boarded a flight to London with no papers, persuading them that her family's lives were at stake - and amazingly, they were let on board and into England.

Britain did well by Johnny's family and he in turn did well by Britain, gracing London and other towns with his buildings.

On our visit, we stayed with Johnny in the Mill Hill area of London and went with him to his synagogue - which he had designed - on the Sabbath.

Crude oil is virtually never used to generate electricity but when manufactured into petrochemicals, is the basis for virtually all the products in our materialistic society that did not exist before the 1800s.

Over the last 200 years, we've become a very materialistic society, and the world has populated from 1 to 8 billion because of all the products and different fuels for jets, ships, trucks, cars, the military, and the space program that did not exist before the 1800s.

There were no products for heating, cooling, or irrigation to prevent weather-related fatalities and injuries before the 1800s.

There were no electronics, computers, or iPhones before the 1800s.

There were no transportation infrastructures before the 1800s.

There were no cruise ships or merchant ships other than sailing vessels before the 1800s.

There were no military ships or planes before the 1800s.

Organized Theft In The Name Of Government

John Locke advocated that if property rights did not exist, then the incentive for an industrious person to develop and improve property would be destroyed; that the industrious person would be deprived of the fruits of his labor; that marauding bands would confiscate by force the goods produced by others; and that mankind would be compelled to remain on a bare-subsistence level of hand to mouth survival because the accumulation of anything of value would invite attack.

James Madison said, "As a man is said to have a right to his property, he may be equally said to have a property in his rights." John Adams argued, "The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence."

The fear of climate change has become the excuse for government to grow and dictate how every strip of land will be used.

Gone is more private property, a reliable water source, and the individual's ability to thrive for their own goals

What about the local restaurant that has always featured your favorite meal? Now, in the name of climate change, the government is moving to ban the stoves on which they cook the meals.

In the past year, climate change radicals have defaced DaVinci's "Mona Lisa," Degas' "Little Dancer," and Monet's "Haystacks." Hate of our society, free enterprise, and private property are at the root of the demonstrations.

Today's drive to eliminate free enterprise, individuality, and private property will not lead to an environmental paradise; rather, it will result in shattered American dreams.

Biden Administration Announces Crackdown On Diesel Big Rig Trucks

The Biden administration's aggressive new emissions regulations targeting heavy-duty trucks and buses, finalized by the EPA on Friday, are drawing sharp criticism from the trucking industry and Republican lawmakers who argue the rules will impose crippling costs on small operators and drive up prices for consumers.

Under the regulations, which represent the strongest greenhouse gas emissions standards ever imposed on heavy-duty vehicles, an increasing percentage of trucks and buses will need to be zero-emissions starting with model year 2027 vehicles.

While the administration touts the regulations as unlocking "Extraordinary public health, climate, and economic gains," trucking advocates warn they are unworkable and will regulate many small operators out of business.

"Small business truckers, who happen to care about clean air for themselves and their kids as much as anyone, make up 96% of trucking," said Todd Spencer, president of Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.

In comments to the EPA, the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association argued the administration overestimated "The nearer-term feasible market penetration and adoption rates of electric trucks, and the demand for them."

Less than 1% of new truck sales are currently zero-emissions, underscoring the monumental shift the industry faces to comply with the administration's aggressive timetable.

The trucking sector still faces a steep uphill climb to electrify its fleet, casting doubt on the feasibility of the administration's emissions goals without severe economic disruption.

The Fraud Inherent In Fractional Reserve Banking

On March 26, 2020, the United States central bank reduced reserve requirements for US banks to 0 percent from 10 percent in reaction to the economic effects of the covid pandemic.

The bank must keep a certain amount of gold in its vaults since depositors on occasion will exchange tickets for gold.

Another constraint is that depositors, if they get suspicious that there are more claims than available gold, may run to the bank demanding to redeem their "On demand" claims into gold.

The standard response from the average Joe is that "Everyone knows that the bank loans out your money." Or they will say that "All banks in the US include a clause in the depositor's contract that specifically says that the relationship between the depositor and the bank is exclusively one of creditor and debtor." Suppose the bank takes your money and loses it all.

If the bank had told you that the money is unfortunately lost, there would be no fraud.

The fraud occurs the minute the bank takes someone else's money.

We need to start a serious discussion about ending fractional reserve banking, and central banking at the same time.

Court Battle For Cleaner Elections!

Records produced to us in September 2023 also included an "Annual Report for Mifepristone," covering the period September 28, 2000, to September 27, 2001, produced by the Population Council/Danco Laboratories, LLC. The summary indicated that during the testing period 32 "Adverse events were reported to Danco and reported by Danco to FDA in periodic reports."

Of the 32 reported adverse events, two were 15-day reports.

One of the 15-day reports was reported as "Hemorrhage due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and death." The other was reported as "Post abortal parametritis/endometritis, adult respiratory distress syndrome and bilateral pneumonia." This latter 15-day report and one case where fever was reported represent the total reports on the marketed drug suggesting infection.

A post-marketing study dated September 28, 2001, titled "Comparison of abortions induced by mifepristone followed by vaginal versus oral misoprostol up to 56 days gestation," reported on the "Safety results" for 940 women.

A September 27, 2002, report on mifepristone indicated that in a study of 971 women administered a combination of mifepristone and misoprostol to induce abortions, one subject needed a blood transfusion, two were administered IV fluids, one was hospitalized, and one died.

Oklahoma Bridge Shut Down After Being Struck by Barge

A bridge near the Kerr Lock & Dam in Sallisaw, Oklahoma was shut down on Saturday after it was struck by a barge.

“The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to Sequoyah County after a barge hit a bridge near the Kerr Lock & Dam,” 4029tv.com reported.

“US-59 south of Sallisaw at the Kerr Reservoir is completely shut down at this time due to a barge that has struck the bridge. Troopers are diverting traffic away from the area. The bridge is going to be shut down until inspections of the bridge can be made,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol said on Saturday.

Surveillance Footage Exposes Polling Place Manager Bringing Blank Ballots into Lorain County Bar on Eve of Election, Investigation Underway

The individual in question, identified as Mark Provenza, a Democrat and a former city law director and veteran poll worker, purportedly visited the bar, situated across the street from the Board of Elections, while waiting for a ride.

The Fox 8 I-Team, which has been closely following the case, revealed additional footage showing Provenza transferring the ballot bags into garbage bags, purportedly to protect them against the weather, and then leaving them unwatched.

The report says Provenza told investigators, yes, he walked away from those ballots, but they were never really out of his sight.

In 2009, a municipal judge in Lakewood mandated that Mark Provenza, the former Law Director of Lorain City, be incarcerated for an additional nine months due to a parole violation.

Provenza, who had just been released from jail for a drunken driving offense, breached the conditions of his parole by consuming a beer on the day of his release, Cleveland reported.

Legal Profession Blog also reported in 2016: Former Lorain Law Director Mark Provenza is facing potential sanctions from the Ohio Supreme Court's disciplinary arm for allegedly failing to provide legal services for two of his clients and then refusing to cooperate with the investigation into allegations against him.

In one instance Provenza is accused of taking $800 from Robin Maxwell-Smith to file a divorce for her and then not doing any of the work.

Interestingly enough, states such as California, Texas, and Virginia, which are touted as having one umbrella agency over all health and human services agencies seem to have as many, if not more agencies and commissions in this category.

Currently, the SC Governor appoints the agency heads and/or commissioners, while the proposed bills give the Governor just one appointment and the subsequent agency heads, advisory boards, and commissions are ALL chosen by the new Secretary of Public Health, aka the Health Czar.

A rather large difference between the House and Senate bill is that while the Senate bill allows for these positions to be appointed by the new Secretary of Public Health "With the advice and consent of the Senate", this phrase is conspicuously missing EVERYWHERE throughout H4927, with the exception of the initial appointment of the Secretary of Public Health himself.

Tied in with these recommendations to restructure the public health agencies are echoes that the state ought to tap into these Opioid settlement funds.

Joe Biden's America: Wealthiest 1% Set Record With $44 Trillion Total Net Worth

The wealthiest one percent in President Joe Biden's America set a record with a net worth of $44 trillion at the end of the fourth quarter, U.S. Federal Reserve data revealed.

Biden casts his administration as opposed to the widening wealth gap, even though a majority of Americans still live paycheck to paycheck, a recent LendingClub study found, raising concerns that so-called "Bidenomics" failed to help average Americans.

The total net worth of the top 1%, defined by the Fed as those with wealth over $11 million, increased by $2 trillion in the fourth quarter.

The value of corporate equities and mutual fund shares held by the top 1% surged to $19.7 trillion from $17.65 trillion the previous quarter.

While their real estate values went up slightly, the value of their privately held businesses declined, essentially canceling out all other gains outside of stocks.

The quarterly gain marked the latest addition to an unprecedented wealth boom that began in 2020 with the Covid-19 pandemic market surge.

Since 2020, the wealth of the top 1% has increased by nearly $15 trillion, or 49%. Middle-class Americans have also seen a rising wealth tide, with the middle 50% to 90% of Americans seeing their wealth increase 50%. A U.S. Federal Reserve chart shows the wealth of the top one percent in America.

'Bidenbucks' Tentacles Expand As Judge Shuts Down Lawsuit

A federal judge has stopped a Bidenbucks complaint described as "The MOST important election integrity lawsuit in the country."

The Michigan Department of State recently announced a signed Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Small Business Administration "To promote civic engagement and voter registration in Michigan." The agreement, according to Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman is a "First-of-its-kind collaboration" for the federal agency.

"Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. Like voting, they play a direct role in improving people's lives," the swing state's leftist secretary of state, who fancies herself as a defender of democracy, said in a press release.

The MOU calls for the Michigan Department of State to create a "Unique URL for the SBA to use to drive online visitors to register to vote." The SBA's Michigan field office will also "Allow" state department officials to operate in-person voter registration drives at SBA small business outreach events.

Signed within months of the Democrat's narrow victories in election-deciding battleground states like Michigan, the executive order is benignly painted as "Promoting access to voting." It's ultimately designed to employ government to recruit voters for one political party.

There's nothing vague or generalized about the effects of Biden's voter registration executive order that serves as a federal government-funded GOTV campaign for Democrats.

As the lawsuit notes, the executive fiat requires all federal agencies to "Identify and partner with specified partisan third party organizations," "Distribute voter registration and vote-by-mail ballot application forms," "Assist applicants in completing voter registration and vote-by-mail ballot application forms," and "Solicit third-party organizations." It also "Directs state officials to provide voter registration services on agency premises."

Bringing Accountability To Our Criminal Justice System

In particular, district attorneys, parole boards, and judges should have accountability as they relate to violent criminals.

Unlike the situation when the Pentagon loses a hammer or when a transportation department builds a road to nowhere, when criminals are let back out on the street to terrorize citizens, there are real consequences for real people.

Repeatedly, we soon discover the perpetrator was let out early on parole, was sprung via a laughably low bail, or walked out of a jailhouse after no bail was required.

Prosecutors plea attempted murder down to assault or a judge sets an unconscionably low bail, and, suddenly, a violent criminal is back out on the street.

Regardless of the merits of their arguments none should outweigh the public's right to be safe in their communities from known criminals.

Still, judges, Das, and parole board members eventually would hone their decision-making skills so that they make decisions that are better balanced between criminals' desires for leniency if they're first-time offenders or have proven remorse and repentance, on the one hand, and citizens' desire for safety, on the other hand.

There is certainly a balance to be had between the rights of criminals and the safety of a community but, currently, Democrats have put a bag of lead on the side of the criminals, and citizens across the country are paying the price.

Biden Admin Coordinates With UNRWA After Congress Banned Taxpayer Dollars, State Department Says

The Biden administration continues to diplomatically support the United Nations’ chief Palestinian aid organization and is working behind the scenes with several nations to support its work in the Gaza Strip, even after Congress barred the American government from awarding taxpayer dollars to the group, the State Department told the Washington Free Beacon.

"We continue to coordinate with other donors, both those that have suspended funding and those continuing to fund UNRWA, as we continue to work to address the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza," the State Department spokesman said.

"While we will continue to provide funding to organizations like the World Food Programme, we will be looking to other donors to continue to provide critical funding to UNRWA as long as our funding remains paused." The Biden administration paused millions in taxpayer funding to UNRWA in January, after it became clear that at least a dozen of the aid group's employees participated in Hamas's Oct. 7 terror strike on Israel.

Sen. Tom Cotton, a critic of UNRWA, said the Biden administration is trying to circumvent Congress's ban on UNRWA funding.

"It's troubling the Biden administration is trying to flout Congress's ban on UNRWA funding by urging other countries to continue supporting an organization that employed known terrorists," Cotton told the Free Beacon.

"We should be supporting Israel in its fight to eliminate Hamas for good, not resupplying terrorists." The Biden administration's diplomatic support for UNRWA appears to have motivated several countries to resume funding.

The State Department would "Not publicly discuss content of our private diplomatic conversations" surrounding UNRWA, but told the Free Beacon that "Funding for Palestinian civilians is a team effort." Pressed on the issue during Thursday's press briefing, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the United States must find other ways to support UNRWA's work after Congress banned funding until 2025.

"We have always made clear that we support the work that UNRWA does, and we have always made clear that it's important that that work not be interrupted, even though we were-we thought it was appropriate on behalf of the United States to suspend our funding," Miller said.

The Never-Ending Federal Surveillance Crime Spree

The court rubber-stamped FBI requests that bizarrely claimed that the telephone records of all Americans were "Relevant" to a terrorism investigation under the Patriot Act, thereby enabling National Security Administration data seizures later denounced by a federal judge as "Almost Orwellian." In 2017, a FISA court decision included a 10-page litany of FBI violations, which "Ranged from illegally sharing raw intelligence with unauthorized third parties to accessing intercepted attorney-client privileged communications without proper oversight."

The NSA collects vast amounts of information as part of that surveillance and then permits the FBI to sift through its troves.

Three years later, FISA chief judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly proposed requiring FBI agents to swear to the accuracy of the information they presented; that never happened because it could have "Slowed such investigations drastically," the Washington Post reported.

In April 2021, the FISA court reported that the FBI conducted warrantless searches of the data trove for "Domestic terrorism," "Public corruption and bribery," "Health care fraud," and other targets - including people who notified the FBI of crimes and even repairmen entering FBI offices.

More vessels anticipated in North Carolina's two ports

More vessels in Wilmington and Morehead City ports are likely and will be welcomed in the aftermath of the stunning collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.

Six workers on the Key Bridge died and two were rescued early Tuesday morning when the Dali, a cargo ship flying Singapore colors, lost power and steering resulting in a crash into a bridge support.

The crew onboard was able to get out a mayday call and authorities sealed both ends of the bridge from traffic.

The bridge fell into the Patapsco River and is expected to be replaced.

Costs and timeframe are unknown, with various guesses depending on the kind of bridge rebuilt, expedited permitting, and availability of construction companies as well as steel.

Vessel traffic is expected to resume far sooner than the bridge will be rebuilt.

How The US Federal Debt Has Gone Parabolic

 In 1970 the figure stood at $378 billion of public debt outstanding, which represented 34.9% of GDP. The latter percentage had peaked at about 120% at the end of WWII but had steadily marched downhill during the quarter century thereafter.

Accordingly, since then the public debt has increased by 90X to the aforementioned present level of $34.5 trillion - a gain far higher than the 25X rise of nominal GDP during the last 53 years.

The greatest government borrowing spree in history until then was accomplished with an actual reduction of the debt burden on the US economy! What happened, of course, was that wartime economic controls caused enormous amounts of private debt to be paid off, leaving immense headroom for absorption of the public debt by private savers.

Specifically, household debt shrunk from 60% of GDP in 1938 to just 20% by 1945, while corporate business debt dropped from about 90% of GDP to 40%. In all private debt vacated a huge space on the national balance sheet, dropping from 150% of GDP in 1938 to only 60% by the end of the war.

That's how the war debt was financed without massive monetization of the public debt.

Improvement Of US-Russia Relations 'Impossible' Under Biden, Ambassador Says

Russian ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov has issued a dire assessment of the current state of US-Russia relations in an interview with Russia's Channel One.

Russian embassy in Washington D.C., via AP "Improvement of Russian-US relations seems to be impossible in the near future. What the current administration is focused on is how to stay in the Oval Office of the White House," he said in the interview.

"They will not review their Russian policy, because it will make it look like this policy had failed," Antonov added.

Moscow has briefly held out hope that given some of the momentary goodwill shown by the West in the wake of last Friday's Crocus City Hall terrorist attack which left at least 140 dead, there might be an improvement of ties - at least in terms of restoring cooperation on common interests like counterterrorism efforts.

"The United States strongly condemns yesterday's deadly terrorist attack in Moscow," Secretary of State Antony Blinken had said in a Saturday statement.

"We condemn terrorism in all its forms and stand in solidarity with the people of Russia in grieving the loss of life from this horrific event." Ambassador Antonov explained that he had expected a senator or a congressman to at least pay a condolence visit to the Russian embassy given the enormity of last Friday's terror attack, but "Nothing like this happened".

He then noted that "The State Department sent a minor official, who is not a foreign policy decision-maker." Antonov said in separate statements this week that since the Crocus Hall attack the Kremlin has only had "Transitory" contacts with the US administration, but that next week there will be opportunity to discuss "Bilateral relations, about how we can live on, and if there is any chance at all for Russian-American relations not to be completely destroyed." He previously described that "Only crumbs" remain of US-Russian relations, and this includes mainly the deconfliction hotline in Syria, space exploration, and some contact groups that work on nuclear proliferation.

Key Witness From Trump Impeachment Registers As Foreign Agent Of Ukraine

A leading witness in the 2019 impeachment inquiry of then-President Donald Trump registered as a foreign agent representing Ukraine and the European Union on Thursday.

Gordon Sondland served as the U.S. Ambassador to the European Union from 2018 to 2020 and testified against Trump before the House of Representatives Select Committee on Intelligence in 2019, claiming that Trump sought to withhold foreign military aid to Ukraine unless it launched an investigation into then-former Vice President Joe Biden regarding his son's business dealings in the country; Biden was running against Trump for the presidency at the time of the impeachment hearing.

Sondland filed a registration statement with the U.S. Department of Justice, declaring himself a foreign agent of Ukraine and the E.U. in order to legally represent their interests in the country, according to a document obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Sondland's registration is required under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, a 1938 law that governs how foreign governments and other entities may lobby U.S. officials.

During his government service, Sondland personally dealt with high-ranking Ukrainian government officials such as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Before joining the Trump administration, Sondland was a developer and served as the chairman of Provenance Hotels, which owns a network of hotels across the United States.

The Trump campaign, Sondland, the Ukrainian mission to the United States and the European External Action Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Is the long awaited - and overdue - restart of the American nuclear age finally here? In a move which may force the lunatic greens to storm the White House, on Wednesday the federal government announced that it would provide a $1.5 billion loan to restart a nuclear power plant in southwestern Michigan.

NJ-based Holtec International acquired the 800-megawatt Palisades plant in 2022 with plans to dismantle it, but with support from the state of Michigan and the Biden administration, the emphasis has shifted to restarting the nuclear power plant by late 2025 instead. What is remarkable is not that the US is throwing some money at a nuclear power plant - since the US sells $1 trillion in debt every 100 days, it may as well go full "Brewster's Millions" and spend it all asap; it is that this would be the first nuclear power plant to be reopened in the US, setting a precedent as atomic energy makes a triumphal comeback.

"Nuclear power is our single largest source of carbon-free electricity, directly supporting 100,000 jobs across the country and hundreds of thousands more indirectly," said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, a former Michigan governor, who in turn is repeating what nuclear advocates have been saying for decades.

In California, regulators in December said the Diablo Canyon plant could operate through 2030 instead of 2025 to guard against blackouts as the state shifts toward renewable power sources.

"There is more enthusiasm toward nuclear power - in Congress, in the industry and also internationally," said Najmedin Meshkati, an engineering professor at the University of Southern California who has inspected nuclear plants around the world.

There is another reason why nuclear energy is suddenly back in vogue: with projections for electricity demand over the next five years doubling from just a year ago - due to a building frenzy of AI data centers, federally subsidized manufacturing plants, and the government-driven electric-vehicle transition - the US has no choice but to go full-on nuclear, despite the howls of outrage from green activists and progressive voters.

Keep an eye on uranium stocks and more importantly, on the price of uranium itself: as the nuclear renaissance begins in earnest, the world will need lots of uranium, and the supply chains will need years to catch up to demand, which means that what has already been one of the best performing commodities in recent years is set to rise that much higher.

WaPo's Lead Liar Waves Away Evidence Of Biden Corruption

 The Washington Post's lead fake fact-checker Glenn Kessler accused House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of offering "Scant" evidence of Biden family corruption but failed to dispute any of the oodles of evidence the Republican outlined in a recent interview.

In a conversation with Fox News's Jimmy Failla on Monday, Comer gave a rundown of the evidence including the fact that nearly a dozen Biden family members received payments first shuffled through several Biden-linked bank accounts.

Biden's bookkeeper Eric Schwerin testified this month that despite his intimate relationship with the then-VP's finances, he never saw any indication that Biden handed out loans to anyone.

After hearing this summation of the Biden family shenanigans, Kessler published an article on Thursday complaining that the corruption evidence Comer mentioned during the media clip is "Scant."

There are bank receipts, White House visitor logs, testimonies from Biden business partners, text messages, and other documents indicating the Biden family profited off their patriarch's name and position.

Kessler's article doesn't simply prove he is a partisan hack employed by a publication that has done nothing but run cover for Biden and Democrats while cheering and aiding the targeting of conservatives.

In the blink of an eye, publications like the Washington Post went from denying there was any evidence of Biden family corruption to claiming there is in fact evidence.
