Our Nation's Cultural Decline

The elitists in our society believe they are the arbiters of what is right and wrong and that they can decide for us what is moral and what is not.  The progressive left and liberals have long led the charge to dispatch with our Christian heritage and replace it with a Secular Humanist model.  Please read these few items and decide if you agree with their efforts to transform us from a nation of laws and moral standards to one which operates on the concept that laws are mere guidelines and morality is relative.  

This item illustrates a tactic used by progressive for very specific political purposes.  They promote policies and practices that pit groups against one another.  It is part of the political left's bible: Socialist Saul Ainsky's book Rules for Radicals.  President Obama even taught that philosophy in law school.  And, Hillary Clinton interviewed Alinsky and wrote about him for her Senior Thesis.  Both adhere to the philosophy to this day.  So you now know where they are coming from.  It enables them and the political left to manage and target content of their political campaigns during election cycles.  It has happened over and over again.  It is divisive and not good for the country to promote White vs Black, Gay vs Straight, Poor vs Rich, etc. strategies.  You get the idea.  Anyway, President Obama wants to add another one to the mix and it is sure to heighten tensions as one of their political tactics.  Quote: "As if we aren't already divided enough by race, class, gender, political party, economic status and sexual orientation, the federal government is reportedly thinking about creating a new category of Americans just in time for the next census.  According to the Associated Press, "The U.S. Census Bureau will test the new Middle East-North Africa classification for possible inclusion on the 2020 census if it gets positive feedback about the proposed change by (last) Sunday, when the public comment period ends."  Americans of Arab descent have previously been classified as "white" in the census, but carving out a special category for them will allow this group access to federal dollars and likely create another group to which politicians can pander for votes." http://townhall.com/columnists/calthomas/2015/02/05/hyphenatednation-n1952933   My question is why can't the political left just let us all be Americans?  Get rid of the hyphen that calls attention to differences and inhibits inclusiveness.

A tragic consequence of government telling the nation that marriage is okay but if you are not married and have a whole bunch of children anyway that is okay, too. The government  will make sure tax payers take care of you.  And, taxpayer funded schools will pass you along (really for many a mandated day care system) and then take care of you if you are unable to get a job because you did not learn anything in school - welfare, food stamps, free housing and such will be there for you.  These are long standing "do good" liberal public policies that have ruined the opportunities, attitudes and ambitions of many among us.  Here is a look at one accounting.  Quote: "The bottom line is that if nothing is done to affect the home life and cultural values that produce the non-learning attitudes and climate that are the subject of Linda Ball's "185 Days: School Stories," there's little that can be done to improve black education.
