Members of congress Say "what?" to an assertion President Obama makes

Yesterday I sent out a number of items with disturbing details regarding ongoing problems with the current administration.  Here is one of a number I could send but this one is particularly damning.  In an apparent attempt to defuse the situation for at least one of the scandals he is facing, the President publicly proclaimed that every member of congress is fully aware of the government's data mining of American citizen's private communications.  That pronouncement was suppose to put us at ease since our respective elected representatives, he claims, were fully briefed and in agreement with what his administration was up to.  Not to worry.  The problem is that his proclamation was news to many members of congress.  A few knew some but not nearly all of what the administration was up to.  So, here we have another of too many to count examples of  outright lies or misleading comments Obama expects us to believe, on his word alone.  That we can no longer believe what his says should now be clear to everyone, even Chris Matthews who recently declared that Obama has never done anything wrong his entire life.  Details here:    http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/congress-obama-surveillance-tracking/2013/06/08/id/508783

One more point.  This three short paragraph item depicts an irony of ironies.  Obama says "If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here."  Despite all the ethical and legal problems his administration is in, he has the audacity to add “You can shout Big Brother or program run amok, but if you actually look at the details, I think we’ve struck the right balance.”  Can you believe it?  A major reason his administration is in so much trouble is that access to details has been obstructed/denied and when finally some come to light we learn things are, despite his claim, way out of balance.  And, by all accounts we have much more to learn.   http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/07/Obama-press-conference-problems-here
