The political left/progressives have engaged in a desperate attempt to
clear the IRS of wrong-doing in the targeting of and actively denying
through a multitude of tactics Tea Party/Conservative requests for tax
exempt status. This long standing activity seeks to deny/delay requests
to conservative groups while evidence exists that liberal/progressive
group requests were pushed through without delay. The left's claim: the
IRS did the same thing for left leaning groups. The IG who conducted
the investigation that revealed the IRS's nefarious activities has
publically refuted the left's attempts to quell the matter. See this
