Food For Thought 1

Very interesting read.  Real food for thought.

This examines the media and its propensity to shade the truth based on their biases versus stating the verified facts and leave their opinions out of any news reporting.  There is a time and place for stating opinions but offering opinions is not reporting fact based news.

This highly respected journalist is concerned with the stoking of the flames of dissension by Democrats and some war hawk Republicans who are urging the CIA to demean Trump and cause people to dismiss his legitimacy as president.  Quote: "He warns that liberals and the Democratic party are pushing the CIA to “undermine and subvert and destroy the legitimacy of Donald Trump’s presidency before he’s even inaugurated and I think what you’re seeing is actually quite dangerous.”  “Whenever it comes to national security issues, especially in the post-9/11 era … you see this incredibly close relationship between the media and the intelligence agencies,” Greenwald warned. “When [the mainstream media] serves their agenda, they get scoops, they get secret documents, they get access, and I think a lot of that is what you’re seeing on top of the fact that the media has been aligned against Trump and will side with anybody who wants to subvert him, including the CIA.”   As he says, this is "High Treason" on the parts of those involved at the CIA and Democrat party.   Here is another piece on this treasonous behavior.  Quote: "The US establishment is working hard to make it impossible for Donald Trump to ditch the warmongering policies previous administrations pursued, and to deliver on his pledge to mend relations with Russia, former CDU defense spokesman Willy Wimmer told RT.“When you see the situation in Washington, I think they are not willing, those who lost the election, to accept the new president whose name is Trump… What’s going on in Washington sounds like the beginning of a civil war,” said Wimmer, who is a former MP with Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), and also served as vice president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).The former OSCE top official noted that not only members of the Democratic Party, who staked everything on Clinton’s victory, but also Republicans from the war establishment camp, like Sen. John McCain, put up a united front against US President-elect Donald Trump’s plans to build good relations with other countries. Such foreign policy strategy may deal a blow to their hawkish worldview, Wimmer argues.

Depraved behavior on the part of anti-Trump forces are seeking to blow his chances of establishing good relations with enemies of peace.  These people are indeed treasonous and should be called to task for this anti-American behavior. Quote: "
During the primaries, anti-Trump Republicans hired the ex-spy to do “oppo research” on Trump, i.e., to dig up dirt.  The spy contacted the Russians. They told him that Trump, at a Moscow hotel in 2013, had been engaged in depraved behavior, that they had the films to blackmail him, and that Trump’s aides had been colluding with them.  When Trump won the nomination, Democrats got the dossier and began shopping it around to the mainstream media. Some sought to substantiate the allegations. None could. So none of them published the charges.  In December, a British diplomat gave the dossier to Sen. John McCain, who personally turned it over to James Comey of the FBI.  On Jan. 7, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and his colleagues at the NSA, CIA and FBI decided the new president needed to know about the dossier. They provided him with a two-page synopsis.  Once CNN learned Trump had been briefed, the cable news network reported on the unpublished dossier, without going into the lurid details.
BuzzFeed released all 35 pages. The story exploded.  Besides Trump’s understandable outrage, his Jan. 11 press conference produced related news.  U.S. intelligence agencies had for months contended that it was Russia who hacked the DNC emails and those of Clinton campaign chief John Podesta. Putin’s objectives, they contend, were to damage both U.S. democracy and Hillary Clinton, whom Putin detests, and to aid Trump.  During the primaries, anti-Trump Republicans hired the ex-spy to do “oppo research” on Trump, i.e., to dig up dirt.   "   This is just a small example of the dishonest, disresptful and totally unethical liberals, Democrats and Republican neocons.  Contact your elected officials and demand they get to the bottom of this treasonous behavior.

I am truly sorry to see Thomas Sowell hang up his pen.  His insightful columns have long been one of my favorite things to read and ponder.  This is a piece that illustrates his wisdom, logical thinking and well expressed ideas.  David Hogberg does a good job of laying out the essence of the thinking of this great man.  Quote: "If America ever comes to its senses on race, the views of Thomas Sowell will become the predominant way of thinking. Unfortunately, we are a long way from that. And now that Sowell has retired from his column, who will promote his insights on racial and ethnic groups?"

This is a piece that reveals how the Democrat party plays dirty politics.  The Republican party is dirty, too, but not this dirty.  Quote: "The Democratic Party is well known as the de facto party of budget deficits.  They see this strategy as a positive thing, since it enables them to seize control of the votes of future citizens – not by altering their ballot or changing a computer count, but by pre-spending the federal government's revenues, thereby limiting what the government can spend on new, future programs.  The Supreme Court has ruled, "Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no 'rule making' or legislation which would abrogate them."  So even if Republicans take over the federal government, the past deficits and interest payments limit future spending to pre-committed mandatory non-discretionary entitlement programs.  The old Voting Rights Act assured access to the ballot box.  But by controlling federal spending, Democrats have seized control of the results: policy funding.  So Democrats cleverly kept their control of the ballot box by acting one step ahead.  Access to the ballot box doesn't matter anymore when the results of the election, the policies that continue the Democratic Party's control, are predetermined through predetermined spending.  The only way for voters to retrieve the value of their vote is for a new Voting Rights Act to be passed that mandates zero base budgeting and a balanced budget."   If we are to save the country for our progeny the Republican party best get its act together and fix things so the Democrats never win again until and unless they cleanse their souls of socialist rot.

This black man makes so much common sense that it is hard to believe progressives, liberals and Democrats can't see it themselves.   After you finish the previous piece consider what Walter Williams, also a black man, has to say about blacks and crime.  Quote: "Ultimately, the solution to high crime rests with black people. Given the current political environment, it doesn't pay a black or white politician to take those steps necessary to crack down on lawlessness in black communities."   Now consider this.  Democrats knowingly and falsely accuse Senator Sessions, Trump's pick for Attorney General, of being a racist which in fact highlights their very own racist views.  Quote: "During his tenure as a U.S. attorney, he desegregated schools.  He also prosecuted the head of the Alabama Ku Klux Klan for murder. The Post reports that prosecution led to a multi-million dollar judgement that broke the back of the Klan.   Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said in prepared remarks that Sessions sponsored the first African-American member of the Lions Club in Mobile, Alabama.  But those facts do not fit the NAACP’s or the CBC’s hateful narrative."  Does that seem racist to you???   Democrats are mean, nasty and liars and deserve to be rebuked for their slanderous behavior.   FYI, just last year racist Senator Booker said he was proud to have worked with Senator Sessions on a piece of get this "civil rights" legislation.  He is a two faced liar.  For the last eight years race relations have been in a steady decline for no other reason than blatant racism from Obama on down the Democrat ranks.
