The Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner has
apparently duplicated the IRS tactic of destroying evidence of
wrongdoing. Quote: "It has been widely reported
that the latest Obama administration official to delete emails
requested by congressional investigators is Marilyn Tavenner, who runs
the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Far less
coverage, however, has been devoted to the ironic fact that Tavenner’s
agency administers the Physician Payment Sunshine Act. The “Sunshine
Act,” as it is generally known, is a provision of Obamacare meant to
ensure that physicians conduct business transactions with complete
transparency. In other words, the very bureaucrat whose emails have
conveniently gone missing oversees the agency tasked with keeping your
doctor and his business associates honest." http://spectator.org/articles/60221/tavenner-transparency-thee-not-me
More. Quote: "According to veteran journalist Sharyl Attiksson, this
revelation is “significant” for a number of reasons: "First, the email
to be deleted included an exchange between key White House officials and
CMS officials. Second, the email was dated October 5, 2013, five days
into the disastrous launch of HealthCare.gov. Third, federal law
requires federal officials to retain copies of –not delete– email
exchanges. And fourth, the document to be deleted is covered under
Congressional subpoena as well as longstanding Freedom of Information
requests made by members of the media (including me)."" http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/08/15/top-obamacare-official-please-delete-this-email
The current administration
actively blocks efforts of inspector generals charged with assuring the
government is not committing crimes, fraud, waste and abuse. Forty
Seven of them have jointly filed a complaint registering their
objections to the lack of cooperation with investigators doing their
duties. Quote: "In a scathing letter released this morning,
forty-seven inspectors general hammered the Obama administration,
specifically singling out several bureaucratic agencies that have been
less than forthcoming in ongoing investigations. The letter, addressed
to several congressmen—including Darrell Issa, House Republicans’ chief
watchdog as the chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government
Reform—sums up what many were already thinking: the administration is
stalling." http://spectator.org/blog/60211/inspectors-general-obama-administration-blocks-investigations
This item discusses how as a
block the liberals are against everything offered to help the government
clean house, eliminate wasteful or duplicative programs, become more
efficient, etc.. Quote: "The term [reactionary] is almost always
applied to conservatives. Certainly there is a strain of conservatism
that feels an undue nostalgia for a less tolerant, less diverse,
1950s-style America. But more and more often these days, “reactionary”
would better apply to those ostensible liberals. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/385274/real-reactionaries-michael-tanner
Whether on purpose to deceive or
simply an example of rank incompetence this item reflects poorly on the
Administration's promise to be the most transparent ever. Quote: "A
government website intended to make federal spending more transparent
was missing at least $619 billion from 302 federal programs, a
government audit has found." http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2014/08/05/federal-spending-transparency-money-missing/13485581/
The Homeland Security Department
and the DOJ join the ranks of incompetents. Quote: "Comparing data
from the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, the National
Review Online is reporting that the Justice Department has no record for
at least half of the Unaccompanied Alien Children who illegally crossed
the U.S. border since 2013." https://www.numbersusa.com/news/doj-missing-records-least-half-uacs-2013 They are here somewhere. The government just does not know where.
This is what the EPA is trying to do. Quote: "Few outrages perpetrated by President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency can match its proposed rule titled “Definition of ‘Waters of the United States’ Under the Clean Water Act.” It would remove “navigable” from American water law and take federal command of all “waters of the United States,” or WOTUS. It redefines “waters” as nearly everything that could get wet, including most of the land in America." http://www.cfact.org/2014/08/14/epa-in-hot-wotus-as-people-say-ditch-this-rule The EPA's quest for power is out of control. http://humanevents.com/2014/08/15/farmers-ranchers-oppose-epa-water-grab/
This agency is irresponsible and many within it appear to be as unethical as the day is long. http://humanevents.com/2014/08/15/report-irs-puts-taxpayer-data-at-risk/
This item explains how the
author believes our country has been turned into a fascist state. Said
another way how it has been quietly and slowly morphed into a
benevolent totalitarian state. Quote: "Most longtime readers know that I
have often warned that our government has evolved into benevolent
totalitarianism. This is a gentle term for fascism. No, we don’t have
the jack boots and the swastika. Our system is far advanced from that.
Our fascism today is so advanced over Nazi Germany and fascist Italy of
World War II that our system actually appears benevolent." http://personalliberty.com/regime-uses-words-phrases-designed-bamboozle-us/
