You
hear that the Republicans have no ideas to offer for a replacement of
Obamacare. Who do you hear say that? Why the Democrats, of course.
However, it must be noted that all through the time Obamacare was being
drafted without allowing Republicans in the room, Republicans were
floating ideas and presenting proposed bills for voting on the floor of
both houses. To no avail. It must also be noted that Harry Reid,
majority leader and dictator of the Senate, would not allow a single
Republican bill or amendment be brought to the Senate floor for
consideration or for a vote. He later claimed that the Republicans had
no ideas and nothing to offer. For anyone willing to give the
Republicans a break they have alternatives and as the author of this
piece says "Americans should know that there are workable Republican
alternatives to Obamacare. And while none of them is perfect, any one of
them would be better than the law now on the books."
