House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is bringing up an old argument to assert that the President is essentially authorized
to ignore the fact that Congressional authorization to borrow on the
credit of the United States has effectively come to an end:

Speaking to CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Pelosi says she would bypass Congress if they are not willing to raise the debt limit ceiling in order for the U.S. to avoid default.
