The 2012 Election brought sad news for many Americans, but we must
remember that it was just one battle in the long war to restore our
Liberty and individual Freedoms.
We know that the ‘Gang of Three’ (Obama, Reid and Pelosi) will continue to push their American version of the Communist Manifesto onto our country. We know that because of their recent victory at the polls that they will be pushing for higher taxes, amnesty for all illegal aliens, implementation of the UN’s Agenda 21 and other ‘Green’ legislation, increased regulations on small businesses and family farms, gutting the military, full implementation of Obama Care, attacks on the Second Amendment and thousands of other new laws and regulations directly effecting our Liberty and individual Freedoms. Unfortunately, we also know that if Barack Obama doesn’t get the legislation he wants, he has a history of bypassing the constitution and issuing Executive Orders.
There is no doubt that the 2012 Election was a major setback for the cause of Liberty in America and the results may have temporarily shaken the resolve of some patriots in the Liberty movement. Losing one election, however, is not a reason to give up the fight. Rather, it is time for us to toughen up and fight back harder than ever. I am sure some fellow Republicans and Liberty activists believe that we are facing overwhelming odds against a well financed and determined enemy within our own country. They may be well funded, but the odds are not overwhelming in their favor.
It is at times like these that I am reminded of the words of one of our country’s founders, George Washington, who during very difficult times in the Revolutionary War wrote the following to one of his generals amid a series of military defeats at the hands of the British in the brutal Winter of 1777:
“We should never despair, our Situation before has been unpromising and has changed for the better, so I trust, it will again. If new difficulties arise, we must only put forth new Exertions and proportion our Efforts to the exigency of the times.”
