Roger Stone, a longtime GOP operative and sometimes-adviser to former President Donald Trump, blasted President Biden over his alleged use of the Justice Department to target opponents, calling the FBI his "Personal Gestapo," a reference to Hitler's secret police.
Stone, who was pardoned by Trump after he was convicted of lying to Congress about Russian election interference, also labeled a recent subpoena he has received from the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, which is investigating the Capitol Building riot, as "Harassment."After he was sent his subpoena, Stone appeared to implicate others who have either been subpoenaed as well, were Trump allies, or both.
"I immediately began thinking how many of my 'Roger Stone Still Did Nothing Wrong' T-shirts can I sell to raise the money for my legal defense. This is epically expensive. I've gotten 11 harassment civil suits against me - all baseless, unsubstantiated, but tremendously sensationalized - dismissed," Stone added.
"I've still got six to go, not to mention new level of harassment. They put.enormous financial pressure on you, and they seek to write a subpoena as if it's a press release," Stone continued.
Stone went on to name names and point fingers in social media posts last week after receiving his subpoena.
"Given what I know, I am perplexed as to why the January 6 committee has not issued a subpoena to Katrina Pierson, in other words someone deeply involved in the violent and unlawful acts of January 6, rather than me, given that I was not there and have no advance knowledge or involvement whatsoever in the events at the Capitol [t]hat day," he noted on his Telegraph account, pointing a finger at the former 2016 Trump campaign national spokesperson.
Stone also implicated Trump's political strategist Steve Bannon, who has also been sent a subpoena.
