Things To Think About 3

Steven Colbert's TV show reflects his hard core leftist views.  But the worse part is his disingenuousness by failing to reveal to his audience his ties to leftist power brokers when launching sometimes unseemly tirades against Republicans and conservatives.    This piece lays out just how close he is the central figure in the so called pizzagate affair, Hillary's campaign manager, John Podesta.   https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/03/10/stephen-colberts-pizzagate-criticism-omitted-a-major-conflict-of-interest/

Know it all "do-gooder" government bureaucrats do far more harm than good.  They reach their tentacles down as far into our households as possible.  Their reach is not welcomed.  This item is an example.  https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/03/04/its-a-crime-for-americans-to-freely-sell-our-raw-milk-yogurt-and-cheese-to-our-friends-and-neighbors/   Two things are necessary as part of Trump's drain the swam initiative.  Neuter big business busy body moneyed lobbyists and eliminate unnecessary/duplicative bureaucracies and trim staff sizes of the ones remaining.

This item is for those who may still think socialist Billionaire George Soros is a good guy.  Quote: "For most conservatives, the name of progressive billionaire philanthropist George Soros has a nasty ring. Soros stands accused of financing a myriad of liberal activist groups that have sparked violent attacks on police, politicians and civilians in a quest to generate sympathy and media attention for his causes via “color revolutions” — a nice way of saying that Soros’ stock-in-trade is overthrowing governments, in all cases for his own personal profit."   And, "Soros has even admitted that his methods of producing “profits” may be unethical, but that he’s duty-bound to his financial partners and investors (including, primarily, himself) to take the actions he does.  Now, however, some U.S. Congressional lawmakers may finally be about to investigate Soros’ European political activities, even though Soros has made his home in the U.S. since 1956.  In recent days, questions have been asked about Soros’ involvement in Hungary, Macedonia and Romania, where the financier has been deploying “tons of money and international heavy artillery,” according to Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary (which happens to be the country of Soros’ birth)."    http://www.americanlibertyreport.com/articles/u-s-lawmakers-are-probing-george-soros/

A great analogy of the way things should be. Quote: "This beautiful and emergent order is self-enforcing, yet is completely bereft of the use of coercive force in any way. The threat of simply ostracizing those who do not comply with this spontaneous ruleset is more than enough to ensure that anyone wishing to play will always comply with all of these rules.  Imagine if I told you that, with no central planning whatsoever, a complex and self-enforcing set of rules governing interaction will emerge spontaneously and be complied with across the country, all without ever having been formalized or written down. It sounds absurd, and yet that is in all reality what has occurred on pickup basketball courts across America. This is beautiful anarchy in its purest form.  It is this voluntary, peaceful, and constructive anarchy that embodies the true beauty of liberty. The cooperative anarchy of pickup basketball is a shining example of the kind of ingenious solutions to collective action problems that human creativity and cooperation, left unfettered and unmolested by coercive force, can effect upon the world."    https://fee.org/articles/the-beautiful-anarchy-of-pickup-basketball/    This person tells the left why and how they lost the presidential election.    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/03/04/you-created-us/

This is a very interesting chart.  My three takeaways.  1. Most federal government employees are liberals/progressives/Democrats.  2. They are afraid Trump will get rid of their jobs.  3. Employees fear losing their jobs more than devoting themselves to serving the public that pays their salaries.    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/03/05/the-swamp-is-deep/

This guy has it right.  Members of the political left need to read and heed his advice which is logical and far superior to anything I have heard from them lately.   https://fee.org/articles/why-bash-the-fash-is-a-really-bad-strategy-for-the-left/

This item should give those of us on the right reason to pause.  Quote: "The progression of the regressive-left continued through the decades with similar tactics and methods of social engineering. Everything from movies, music, and additional television programming pushed the mass population further away from the traditional roots where Western civilization began. The pendulum swing has gone so far to the left that equal rights for all has now morphed into anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-traditional, anti-male, and anti-Capitalism. For decades already movies have imagined every mastermind criminal as an evil Capitalist who wants to enslave and control the world. This social engineering is now so rampant that discussions supporting the Capitalist system turn into serious arguments with the liberal-left making accusations of identity politics for the purpose of demeaning and minimizing both the position and character of those promoting Capitalism. The same methods and techniques are now used on anyone who disagrees with the left ideology and its stated goals and mandates. The mass immigration which has been happening for decades already has taken on a new sense of urgency and panic as migrants and refugees from Islamic nations flood into the West. The differences in culture and beliefs between the West and Islamic cultures is obvious to most but open discussions and analysis are not permitted."    https://www.theburningplatform.com/2017/03/05/when-will-the-left-come-for-you/

Senator Ben Sasse is someone all politicians from the president on down should listen to. Quote: "Politicians in D.C. should take note and model themselves after Ben Sasse. “We are in the midst of a civilization-warping crisis of public trust, and the President’s allegations today demand the thorough and dispassionate attention of serious patriots. A quest for the full truth, rather than knee-jerk partisanship, must be our guide if we are going to rebuild civic trust and health.”  Wiretapping is a serious claim. If it occurred, it needs to be dealt with, regardless of political party. If not, alleging such things should result in swift rebuke."     http://www.redstate.com/kimberly_ross/2017/03/04/sasse-statement-trump-wiretap-claims/?

This item exposes the lie to the claim by leftists that they are the "tolerant ones".  The problem they have is that their intolerance of anyone with those who disagree with them gets exposed many times over.  Other people are indeed intolerant but leftists assign to themselves the moniker of being the "tolerant ones".  I beg to differ.  In fact they may well be more intolerant than most.     http://www.wnd.com/2017/03/another-campus-another-speaker-another-riot/

These kind of things have been reported across the country at Planned Parenthood Centers.    http://www.operationrescue.org/archives/margaret-sanger-planned-parenthood-sends-3rd-patient-this-year-to-the-emergency-room/
