Medical and Health Sciences 4

Quote: "The basic elements that promote a healthy and strong immune system undercut vaccination and other medical interventions. People can rail against that fact; they can attack it; but they can’t change it.  Naturally strong immune system=you don’t get sick, or if you do, you recover without lasting ill-effects.  Weak immune system=you get sick from many possible causes.

This is a possible action item  Please read this link and determine if its contents bothers you as much as it does me.  If so, contact your elected representatives and ask for an explanation why it has not been fixed.  I have.

NY Time does its usual misinforming.  This time it lauds the FDA for its great work???  And Trump better not mess it up.

Some of the content of this item has been provided before but the facts are worth a reminder from time to time.
Floride linked to calcification of arteries.

This item highlights natural supplements that can support healthy brain function and help prevent dementia.

This item addresses why Americans are ranked 28th in the world for healthy living.   Here are simple suggestions to help us all maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This study seriously undermines the political left elitists unabashed support for the LBGT, especially gays, lifestyles as being just as healthy as heterosexuals. Quote: "A recent (and first of its kind) study verifies again what many Christians have long warned about the homosexual lifestyle.  Published in August of 2016 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the study – "Sexual Identity, Sex of Sexual Contacts, and Health Related Behaviors Among Students in Grades 9-12" – looked at a wide variety of risky behaviors among U.S. high school students."

Dealing with differing human conditions is losing its grip on reality.  Things like this should disturb anyone grounded in reality.

Good item to read if you are a heartburn sufferer.  Thanks to Charles for sharing.  Quote: "Suffering from heartburn or acid reflux is miserable.  The constant burning, nausea and pain are so uncomfortable; you would take just about anything to get some relief.  And like most of America, you may reach for a pill to put the fire out.  But it turns out that some of the most popular heartburn meds around may come with deadly risks that we’ve never been warned about.  You see, research recently presented at an American Heart Association conference shows that some of these meds, like Protonix, may increase your risk of suffering from stroke by up to 94 percent.

This item discusses why people should avoid statins.  Quote: "The best doctors that I know will write a prescription instantly for a statin (i.e., a drug to force cholesterol lower). The cholesterol myth is so well-established and so completely accepted by doctors that there is almost no inquiry into this crime of commerce.  The cholesterol myth is based on the Lipid Hypothesis created by Ancel Keys in the 1950s. The Lipid Hypothesis is a theory that saturated animal fats and cholesterol in our food raise cholesterol levels in the blood. Then the theory goes that high blood cholesterol causes atherosclerosis, leading to obstruction of blood vessels of the heart and resulting in coronary heart disease. The pharmaceuticals saw trillions of dollars of profits. Who can say that the pharmaceuticals didn’t create the flawed studies that led to the cholesterol profit empire that we have today. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention both rely on industry studies when giving their approval for drugs. You may call it a “science” of fraud?"  and, "A new study conducted by the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati has found that vitamin D supplementation reduces these effects.  The crux of the matter is that you can get the benefits of statin drugs — decreased mortality and lower rates of atherosclerosis — by changing your diet and by supplementing vitamin D."

Things like this make one have to wonder about the CDC.

This item discusses "The foods that fight cancer, stop heart disease and strengthen bones after 40."  Very interesting and informative stuff.

Something to ponder and maybe stop indulging processed meats.

Quote: "If nuts don’t comprise a significant portion of your diet, they should.  Nuts provide the minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium in abundance. Together with a low sodium intake, these minerals are crucial to bone health and also protect against arterial hypertension, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease."

How is it that liberals/progressives do not understand basic human physiology?  Or, maybe better said, why do they want to ignore science and create their own definition of human physiology?   What possible purpose does their notions as articulated in this item serve?

Eight healthy and natural ways to ward off colds.  Quote: "Why reach for over-the-counter medicines for relief from cough and cold? Many of them don’t work anyway…"

The government is fixing to remove its warnings regarding consumption of products containing cholesterol.  Another example of settled science not being settled after all. Quote: "I guess the settled science on cholesterol, and all the dietary the advice premised on it, is not so settled. I can’t be sure, but I suspect that at least 97% of scientists a few years ago would have endorsed limiting cholesterol intake.  But as all real scientists know, all previous scientific conclusions are subject to revision if new data comes in."

This item discusses some unbelievably stupid efforts on the part of some badly misguided scientists.  Quote: "Obvious womens’ jokes aside, it appears that idiot scientists are trying to project maleness as a health problem!  According to a recent piece from that sanctuary of news and truth CBS News, a research review on men and mental health suggests that men who have “playboy” attitudes and believe in male dominance over women may face a higher risk for mental health trouble than men who don’t.  The fact they didn’t investigate the same phenomenon in women (which definitely exists) suggest a sexist bias to the whole investigation."
