Things To Think About 1

I once again apologize to anyone offended by the strident language in my last posting.  I will avoid doing so again.  This item extends content in that posting along with covering other topics.

This item by Paul Craig Roberts, as solid an observer there is, suggests that we entering an era where truth does not matter in either private or public institutions.  Sad to say but it sure seems to be true.   Quote: "The Saker, an observant being, says that the color revolution being conducted by the neoconservatives, the Democratic Party, the presstitutes, the liberal/progressive/left, and by some Republicans against President Trump is “de-legitimizing the entire [democratic] political process which brought Trump to power and upon which the United States is built as a society.” The consequence, says The Saker, is that “the illusion of democracy and people power” has been destroyed both domestically and abroad. The propaganda picture of “American Democracy” has lost its believability. As the false picture crumbles, so does the power that was based on authority constructed by propaganda.  The Saker asks: do we face an endless horror or a horrible end?  As George Orwell said decades ago, “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”  This is the way the criminals who rule us see it, and it is the way their whores in the media see it. If you tell the truth in America, you are a purveyor of fake news and possibly a traitor."

This is a follows-up to Obama and Valerie Jarett's apparent efforts to overthrow the Trump presidency.  Is this is real the political left is engaged in a dangerous game.  Quote: "We have lost all civility in politics. The left has historically ALWAYS been the source of revolution. When Obama was elected, the right simply accepted it and moved on. I remember when Jimmy Carter was elected to everyone’s shock. Hey, there were no protests and vows to overthrow the government. I simply traded gold and made a fortune. You went with the markets. Yet when the left loses, they fear Trump and the Republicans will dismantle their socialist agenda. That is what is at stake for them."

Another follow-up item. Quote: "Do the Democrats see a “glorious summer” ahead, this year or next, when the Trump administration implodes?  Make no mistake at what is going on, an event without precedent in American history: Having lost a bitterly-contested, close election they felt certain they would easily win, the leadership of the Democratic Party seeks to remove a duly elected president they despise.  Spearheading this effort is none other than the immediate past president, Barack Obama. He has been joined by his operations aide and longtime loyalist Valerie Jarrett, by billionaire funders, by most of Hollywood and academia, by key elements of the “deep-state” federal bureaucracy, and with a de facto propaganda arm in the progressive press. There are two components to this effort. First, Obama has established Organizing For Action (OFA). As described by journalist-author Paul Sperry.

Joe Biden changes his tone and does a good thing.  Quote: "Former Vice President Joe Biden said President Donald Trump "deserves a chance" to govern, The Blaze reported.  Biden, speaking at a press conference at the University of Delaware, said the reason that he and former President Barack Obama have not been on any of the news shows to express criticism of Trump is that "he deserves a chance and in fairness to him, this is a man in my view, who understandably, like all the press thought, didn't think he was gonna win."

Want to know why the EPA is needs to be cut down to size?   Well, this is just one example.  Quote: A man is potentially being sent to jail for 169 years because of, "An EPA-issued fatwa regarding acceptable levels of exhaust emissions. VW – well, Schmidt and the six other fall guys – traduced the EPA’s regulatory standards by programming or otherwise adjusting the ECU (the computer that controls the engine) of TDI diesel-powered VWs to pass the emissions tests required for certification prior to sale, but revert to more mileage-and-performance-friendly programming that resulted in slightly, imperceptibly, higher-than-allowed emissions once out on the road.  That’s it.  Which, by the way, is industry practice."

Paul Ryan is a chameleon, maybe even two faced as are other neocons and mainstream media types.  With Obamacare repeal and replace Ryan has tried to pull a fast one on Trump.  This item explains.   Quote: "What does the deep state campaign against Trump look like? Just like COINTELPRO, from the illegal surveillance to the unlawful disinformation campaigns. That’s not a coincidence, any more than Trump hinting at the scope of this problem in his tweets and his historical analogizing it to the fascists coup of power in Europe in the 1930s. His real meaning of tying in Obama was to clue in observers that Obama had got into bed with the deep state, and wiretapping your opponents is one of the great harms such ugly marriages bring.  It’s a marriage — between the media and the deep state — that has long called for a needed divorce.

More regrettable but true observations about our mainstream media.

This item is very, very interesting.  Quote: "Headlines were made last week when the results of an experiment by two New York University professors went viral.  The study was designed to demonstrate gender bias by reenacting the 2016 presidential debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, except the gender for each was reversed.  In other words, a woman recited the statements of Trump and a male reenacted Hillary Clinton’s original comments made during the debates.  The goal of the ‘Her Opponent’ project was to prove that people would not have accepted Trump’s aggressive behavior had it come from a woman, and that Hillary’s debate style would be much more likable if she were a man.  Ironically, the exact opposite happened.

This item illustrates that Democrat tend to make bad choices.  The new chairman of the DNC has a similar email abuse history to Hillary's massive fiasco.   Quote: "A more apt comparison to Clinton would be to the newly elected chairman of the Democratic National Committee Tom Perez, who as a lawyer at President Obama's Department of Justice frequently used his personal email account to conduct agency business.  Congressional investigators found that Perez used his personal email account to conduct DOJ business 1,200 times since 2009, and the department conceded in a letter to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that Perez had committed at least 34 violations of the Federal Records Act. The investigation concluded that Perez "likely violated both the spirit and letter of the Federal Records Act."  Go figure.

Democrats need to settle down and temper their disdain for Donald Trump.  They also need to recognize that Obama's legacy will not be a good one. Many accounts document Obama's eight years of scandal filled reign.  This piece illustrates the extremes the left will go to to get what they want.
