#AltGov: the secret network of federal workers resisting Doge from the inside

A network of federal employees called AltGov is responding to the chaos of the Trump administration. Using the social media platform Bluesky, they aim to share information, defend public institutions, and assist each other during layoffs.

1. Response to Emails:

When an email was sent to 2. 3 million federal employees asking them to report on their recent work, many in the network discussed how to respond, given that some employees wouldn’t see it until after the deadline.

2. Recommended Response:

The network proposed that members break down their oath of office into bullet points to send back in the email, focusing on their commitment to the Constitution.

3. Objectives of AltGov:

The group aims to expose harmful policies, support public institutions, and prepare citizens to resist authoritarianism. They also assist members facing layoffs within federal agencies.

Collusion, Coercion, and the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Directives

Concerns have been raised about unelected regulators and global financial firms using people's money to pressure businesses into addressing climate change and social issues through Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This has particularly impacted the energy sector and financial stability in Europe.

• The EU is enforcing ESG mandates via the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directives (CSRD), which apply to both European and U. S. -based companies operating in the EU.

• A coalition of state financial officers, including the author, has urged President Trump to investigate the CSRD under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, arguing it imposes unfair burdens on U. S. businesses.

• The CSRD requires companies to detail their ESG impacts and establish climate change plans, even mandating disclosures about their supply chains.

• The introduction of "double materiality" expands reporting obligations beyond traditional financial risks to include societal impacts, complicating compliance for U. S. firms.

• The CSR's influence extends to U. S. companies, undermining their sovereignty.

• Many U. S. financial institutions are distancing themselves from ESG practices due to their negative economic effects, while the EU remains committed to such policies.

• Legal challenges are expected as the CSRD invites frivolous lawsuits based on speculative climate assumptions.

• The EU’s ESG policies have already harmed European economies, and there are calls within Europe for a delay in the CSRD's implementation.

The U. S. must oppose the EU's ESG directives to safeguard American businesses, uphold market principles, and influence European policy reconsideration.

Bidenflation & His Media Whores

This content discusses the impact of inflation during President Biden's administration, highlighting the political consequences and public perceptions surrounding economic issues. It critiques both Biden's policies and the media's portrayal of inflation.

1. Political Consequences of Inflation:

• High inflation contributed to Donald Trump's defeat of Kamala Harris in the last election, as it was a major concern for voters. Harris is blamed for the decline of the dollar's value under Biden.

• Inflation is described as stemming from excessive government money printing, leading to decreased purchasing power for Americans.

2. Biden's Claims about Inflation:

• Biden initially downplayed inflation, labeling it as a temporary issue while statistics showed significant price increases.

• He promised financial assistance, claiming families would see more money in their pockets, but inflation effectively negated these benefits.

3. Responses to Economic Strain:

• Media outlets offered questionable solutions to rising prices, suggesting alternatives like cheaper meals. Critics noted that Biden's comments on consumer spending were out of touch with rising costs.

4. Media's Narrative on Inflation:

• Some media depicted inflation positively, portraying it as a result of increased consumer spending. Others blamed external factors, such as the pandemic and geopolitical events, for inflation’s rise.

5. Critique of Inflation Measurement:

• The calculation of inflation has been adjusted to appear lower than it actually is, leading to misconceptions about the true economic situation. Critics argue these adjustments do not reflect real living costs.

6. Biden's Political Strategy:

• Despite rising inflation impacting everyday Americans, Biden attempted to shift blame to corporations and external factors, failing to address public concerns effectively.

• As inflation worsened, he mischaracterized the public’s financial situation and dismissed criticism.

7. Stagnation and Public Response:

• Many Americans reported living paycheck to paycheck as real wages fell. Inflation disproportionately impacted lower-income households due to higher expenditure on essential goods.

Biden's policies and the resulting inflation crisis led to significant political backlash and public dissatisfaction. As inflation rose, voters grew frustrated with perceived government inaction and the difficulties in their daily lives. The lasting economic effects and public trust in economic management remain uncertain as Americans reconsider their reliance on government assurances.

DOGE Is in the Constitution

The article discusses a recent statement made by Senator Elizabeth Warren regarding the transparency of government spending and highlights the constitutional provisions that support citizens' rights to know how their tax dollars are spent. The writer argues that current practices surrounding federal expenditures lack the necessary transparency.

1. Senator Warren's Statement: On January 30, Senator Warren claimed the Constitution does not guarantee citizens access to government spending information, which the author disputes by referencing Article I, Section 9, Clause 7.

2. Constitutional Obligation: This clause mandates that a regular account of public money receipts and expenditures must be published, suggesting a need for greater transparency.

3. Limitations of Current Disclosure: The article critiques current disclosure methods, which the author believes are insufficient to provide a true understanding of where public funds are directed, especially given the complexity of government budgets today.

4. Introduction of DOGE: A computerized tool named DOGE is presented as a solution for tracking and mapping government spending, making the process more efficient and revealing possible misappropriations of funds.

5. Misuse of Funds: The author claims large sums of taxpayer money are being misused, highlighted through examples involving federal entities like USAID and media organizations such as Politico. Allegations of corruption and fraud are raised concerning campaign financing and misappropriated donations.

6. Implications for Democracy: The author expresses concern that hidden expenditures may lead to corruption and misuse of taxpayer dollars, which undermines democratic processes and accountability.

The author concludes that citizens have the right to know how their tax money is spent, and effective tools like DOGE can help uncover this information. The article calls for increased transparency in government expenditures to uphold democratic principles and accountability.

Who Caused the Counter-Revolution?

In Victor Davis Hanson's article, he discusses the dramatic changes in governance brought about by Donald Trump in his first month of office. The piece highlights the challenges faced by the previous administrations regarding spending, immigration, and military engagements.

• Trump's approach is likened to a counter-revolution aimed at correcting decades of unsustainable spending and open borders.

• Historical context is provided, comparing Trump’s swift changes to Franklin Roosevelt’s implementation of the New Deal.

• There is a strong emphasis on the need to manage the national debt responsibly and to reevaluate immigration policies, particularly the influx of illegal immigrants.

• The author asserts that the previous administrations' practices have led to a bloated bureaucracy that needs restructuring.

• Hanson argues in favor of objective measures in areas like gender and sports and discusses the importance of empirical education methods in American institutions.

• The author raises concerns about the treatment of law enforcement and the military, advocating for a focus on national security rather than cultural indoctrination.

• Criticism is directed at former administrations for fostering a culture of irresponsibility and unchecked growth in government programs.

• The article positions Trump’s actions as necessary “shock treatment” to address long-standing issues exacerbated by his predecessors.

• The left is accused of being hypocritical for condemning budget cuts and deregulation, while they are the ones who initially expanded government and created the debt crisis.

• The significance of adhering to fundamental principles, such as accountability and hard work, is reiterated.

Hanson’s observation of Trump's initial month in office portrays it as a significant turning point aimed at restoring common sense to governance in America. His arguments reflect a belief that profound changes are essential for the future stability of the nation, emphasizing the need to prioritize fiscal responsibility, national security, and America’s foundational values.

Will the President pursue grid reliability?

The President is using an Executive Order (EO) to gain more control over independent federal agencies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), which is crucial for maintaining the reliability of America's electric power grid.

1. FERC's Mission and Reliability Issues: FERC is vital for ensuring grid reliability, but the power grid has become unreliable.

2. Presidential Authority: The President might use his authority to direct FERC to take actions to restore grid reliability through several potential approaches.

3. Constitutional Concerns: The existence of independent federal agencies raises questions about their constitutional legitimacy. The Constitution recognizes only three government branches.

4. Reliability Measures: Two approaches to improving reliability are proposed:

• Moratorium on Intermittent Generators: FERC could stop connecting new large generators that produce energy unpredictably, which harms grid reliability.

• New Standards by NERC: NERC might develop new standards to manage the effects of intermittency on the grid, which has not been addressed by existing standards.

5. Collaboration Required: Effective restoration of grid reliability might involve collaboration between FERC and the President, especially given the current Chair's awareness of the reliability crisis.

The President's new EO could lead to essential changes in FERC's operations aimed at improving electric grid reliability through strategic actions and regulations.

Covid Response at Five Years: The First Amendment Versus the U.S. Security State

This document discusses how the Covid pandemic led to a significant attack on First Amendment rights in the United States. It describes a coordinated effort by government officials and health agencies to control information, suppress dissent, and evade accountability for their roles in the pandemic.

• A virus from a foreign adversary sparked a domestic crisis that allowed the U. S. government to expand its power.

• Bureaucrats coerced private companies to align with government directives, restricting what people could share about the crisis.

• Key figures in public health were implicated in the virus's creation and subsequently worked to cover up their involvement.

• They manipulated scientific findings through bribes and targeted journalists who questioned the narrative.

• A shadow government emerged that bypassed normal accountability mechanisms, impacting civil liberties heavily.

• The internet, once seen as a tool for free expression, was weaponized against dissidents, leading to increased censorship.

• The Democratic Party shifted from supporting an open internet to combatting perceived disinformation.

• During the Covid response, First Amendment rights were significantly undermined, framing dissent as a threat to democracy.

• Government officials suppressed discussion about the origins of Covid, particularly the lab-leak hypothesis.

• An email from January 2020 warned of potential implications for Anthony Fauci regarding funding that may have contributed to the virus's origin.

• Research funding for gain-of-function studies at the Wuhan Institute of Virology raised concerns about safety and accountability.

• Fauci and his associates engaged in efforts to silence discussions around the virus's origins, leading to fears for their reputations and careers.

• Discussions among virologists reflected deep concerns that the virus appeared engineered, but political ramifications influenced the scientific narrative.

• The drafting of contradictory scientific papers and avoidance of official communication channels reveals ongoing cover-up strategies amidst rising tensions.

The narrative emphasizes a troubling trend of censorship and encroachment on free expression in the face of the Covid pandemic. It highlights how the government's response involved tactics that undermined foundational democratic principles in an effort to maintain control and mitigate reputational risks. The evolution of this situation showcases the delicate balance between public health, government authority, and individual rights.

Elon Musk Is Running Government Like a Business. That’s a Good Thing.

Elon Musk is reforming the federal government with a business-like approach. This article discusses Musk's methods and the potential benefits of treating government operations more like a business.

• Musk likens the U. S. federal government to a morbidly obese patient, needing to lose excess weight from inefficient practices and unnecessary hires.

• Recently, federal employees received an email requesting a list of their accomplishments, which Musk used as a test to ensure they were engaging with their work.

• The comparison between government and business highlights that both need to be efficient in delivering value, whether it's serving citizens or generating profits.

• Musk has applied a similar approach at Twitter by downsizing aggressively to identify essential functions and improve performance.

• Public opinion suggests a strong desire for government efficiency, with 72% of Americans supporting a federal agency for this purpose.

• The article questions the effectiveness of current government employees and suggests that reforms could enhance job performance and accountability.

Musk's bold methods may reshape the federal government into a more effective entity. By prioritizing efficiency, there is hope for a government that operates with the competency and responsiveness found in successful businesses.

The Mexican president must disband her country’s network of NGOs that bring millions of illegals to the U.S. border.

The article discusses President Claudia Sheinbaum's response to illegal immigration in Mexico, particularly in relation to the United States, and critiques her approach of deploying troops rather than addressing the root issues.

1. The author praises former President Trump's tariff threat for drawing attention to Mexico's role in U. S. security and illegal immigration.

2. The author argues that Sheinbaum must tackle the extensive network of NGOs that facilitate illegal migration, rather than merely offering 10,000 troops to the border.

3. Previous U. S. presidents attempted cooperative approaches with Mexico, which have often failed, illustrated by the ineffective Merida Plan and the "Bicentennial Framework. "

4. Sheinbaum's response exemplifies the ongoing problem, where Mexico benefits economically from supporting illegal migrants moving north.

5. Mexico's economy is significantly impacted by remittances from migrants in the U. S. , and the informal economy supports various businesses tied to illegal migration.

6. The article highlights the complexity of Mexico's issues with illegal immigration intertwined with corruption and organized crime.

7. The author calls for Sheinbaum to take decisive actions, such as dismantling the NGO networks, enforcing visa requirements, and deploying professional military forces, rather than relying on the National Guard.

The author urges that Sheinbaum must seriously address the illegal migrant support system in Mexico and that Trump should maintain pressure on her by discussing policy changes and counting illegal encounters at the U. S. border.

Trump Teases Enormous Staff Cuts At Major Gov’t Agency

President Donald Trump indicated that significant staff reductions may occur at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), suggesting a 65% cut to its workforce.

• During a cabinet meeting, Trump mentioned that EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin could cut nearly two-thirds of the agency’s employees.

• The administration has already started laying off workers across various federal agencies to reduce government waste.

• Trump criticized the existing workforce, claiming many were not fulfilling their roles and described some as "obstructionists. "

• The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was established to help identify and reduce wasteful federal spending, reportedly uncovering $65 billion in such spending.

• Zeldin pointed out issues of mismanagement at the EPA, alleging that funds were misallocated to left-wing nonprofits linked to Democratic initiatives.

• White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers confirmed the administration's commitment to cutting waste and fraud, emphasizing the goal of reducing EPA spending.

The potential cuts at the EPA reflect the Trump administration's broader strategy to minimize government spending and improve efficiency within federal agencies.

Unearthed FOIA docs expose Biden regime’s diabolical TSA plot…

A recent report by investigative journalist Breanna Morello reveals troubling changes made by the Biden administration to TSA guidelines, aimed at expediting airport security for unvetted illegal immigrants. The report raises significant concerns regarding national security and the prioritization of political agendas over public safety.

• Policy Changes: The Biden administration altered TSA guidelines, allowing illegal immigrants to pass through security checkpoints without proper identification. This change reportedly aimed to create a new voting bloc of non-citizens, prioritizing political power over security.

• Fast-Tracking Illegals: Documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit indicate that TSA was focused on speeding up lines for unvetted individuals. Most could board flights without any identification or with documents like arrest warrants that previously wouldn't have sufficed.

• Operational Efficiency: The TSA claimed to have reduced ID verification time from 13 minutes to about 2 minutes by bypassing ID checks entirely. They introduced a "CBP One" program, which allowed TSA agents to photograph undocumented individuals and check biometric data against CBP records, facilitating entry with minimal scrutiny.

• Burden on Security: The new guidelines were believed to pose risks by allowing individuals without proper vetting, including those with criminal backgrounds, to travel freely.

• Pilot Program Locations: Airports such as Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Miami among others participated in the CBP One pilot program, which aimed to ease the burden on TSA checkpoints from the influx of illegal immigrants.

• Consequences for National Security: The report raises the alarm about potential national security threats, questioning how many individuals with possible terrorist affiliations may have entered the country during this period.

The investigation highlights significant concerns regarding the Biden administration's approach to TSA policies. With implications for national security and public safety, the changes made under the Biden regime have prompted calls for re-evaluation and more stringent measures at airport security checkpoints. As ongoing investigations continue, the importance of independent journalism in uncovering these issues remains critical.

Foreign Companies Bail Out of China’s Tottering Economy

Foreign companies are increasingly withdrawing from China's struggling economy, showing a lack of confidence in the government's ability to stabilize the market.

• Recent reports indicate that major firms, including the U. S. law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and a BlackRock fund, are exiting China.

• Cleary Gottlieb plans to close its Beijing office, while BlackRock forfeited two office towers in Shanghai after failing to repay a significant loan.

• Many law firms and real estate developers are leading this departure due to declining profits, which have decreased by nearly 18% over the past three years.

• Foreign firms worry they cannot compete with domestic companies that receive favorable treatment from the Chinese government.

• The availability of office space in major cities like Beijing has surged as a result of this exodus, with reports showing over 20% vacancy rates.

• In Shanghai, vacancy rates are similarly high, with many cities surpassing a critical threshold of 20%.

• While Middle Eastern firms are moving into some of the vacated spaces, they currently lack the capacity to fully replace the Western companies leaving China.

• The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has introduced a twenty-point action plan to attract foreign investment again, but its effectiveness remains uncertain.

• A recent report revealed a dramatic drop in foreign direct investment (FDI) by $168 billion in 2024, marking the largest decline since 1990.

The significant withdrawal of foreign companies from China highlights serious concerns about the country's economic stability and the continued attractiveness of its markets to international businesses. As the situation evolves, it remains to be seen how both the Chinese government and incoming foreign firms will respond to these challenges.

Egalitarian Interventionists: Why Politicians Love “Equality”

The term "equality" is often viewed as an unquestionable good in modern Western society, especially in America, where it's considered part of the national identity that "all men are created equal. " However, the concept is complex and heavily debated among politicians and scholars.

1. Definition and Usage of Equality: Politicians appreciate "equality" because it seems just, is difficult to define, and is hard to achieve. It can refer to fairness before the law or broader concepts like egalitarianism which includes “equality of outcome” or “equality of opportunity. ”

2. Rule of Law vs. Egalitarianism: Equality before the law aims for impartiality in justice but is often opposed to egalitarian principles, which seek equal outcomes and may require treating individuals unequally to achieve these ends.

3. Human Nature and Scarcity: Human diversity and individuality make true equality nearly impossible. According to scholars like Rothbard, true equality would mean complete uniformity among individualsa situation devoid of personal characteristics and creativity.

4. Perception of Equality by Politicians: Many politicians might favor the idea of "equality" because it allows them to justify state interventions, claiming that disparities in society reflect injustices. This allows them to position themselves as defenders of justice while perpetuating a system where they hold significant power.

5. Statistical Measures of Inequality: Statistical measures can drive political agendas, as any observed difference is seen as an injustice that requires correction, justifying continued state intervention and power acquisition.

6. Historical Context and Consequences: Historical attempts to accomplish egalitarianism often resulted in greater state control and oppression rather than genuine equality. Figures like Mao in China believed that continuous revolution was necessary to create an egalitarian society, which often led to tragedy and hardship.

7. The Irony of Equality in Governance: Achieving equality often necessitates a powerful elite to enforce fairness through coercive means, ironically leading to increased inequality of power and privilege among individuals.

The pursuit of egalitarianism, often cloaked in the language of "equality," cannot be realized without significant societal and legal consequences. Politicians exploit the notion of equality to justify their power and actions, yet the reality is that not only is true equality unachievable in diverse societies, but striving for it may enable greater inequality through state intervention. The dilemma of balancing rule of law and egalitarian ideals remains a contentious issue in political discourse.

Should Federal Workers Be Treated Differently Than Private-Sector Employees?

The article discusses the contrasting treatment of federal workers compared to those in the private sector, amidst job losses among federal employees. It focuses on the reactions to these layoffs and the implications for government bureaucracy.

• The media exaggerates the impact of federal job losses, framing those affected as victims while overlooking issues related to government inefficiency.

• Two-thirds of the public supports reducing excess in the federal workforce, according to a Harvard-Harris poll.

• Democrats appear to prioritize the preservation of federal jobs, as they are concerned about maintaining political power that relies on a robust bureaucratic workforce.

• Critics argue that federal employees should not have special protections compared to private-sector workers, who face job cuts during tough times.

• The notion that federal workers are inherently selfless and dedicated to public service is contested; many are perceived as serving personal or political interests.

• Activist efforts by the left are aimed at countering budget cuts and protecting federal jobs, indicating a perceived threat to their influence.

The article argues that federal workers should compete in a merit-based environment similar to the private sector. It suggests that maintaining special treatment for federal employees undermines the value of jobs outside government and highlights the need for accountability within federal services.

DEA’s most wanted drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero arrives in NYC to face charges after Mexico hands him over to US

Rafael Caro Quintero, a notorious drug lord and one of the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) most wanted fugitives, has been transferred from Mexico to New York City to face drug-trafficking charges.

• Quintero, aged 72, was moved to the U. S. after the Mexican government handed him over, along with 28 other cartel members, due to pressure from President Trump regarding tariffs on Mexican goods unless drug smuggling is addressed.

• Ray Donovan, former head of New York’s DEA office, stated that Quintero's arrival is significant for DEA agents due to his connection to the murder of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena in 1985.

• The Justice Department has indicated that many of the detained cartel members are no longer just seen as criminals but as terrorists, following their designation as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

• Quintero is expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court and may face charges related to drug trafficking, though no current murder charges are filing against him.

• This transfer is viewed as a potential step towards justice for the family of the slain DEA agent and could lead to a significant change in drug trafficking dynamics, according to experts.:

Rafael Caro Quintero’s transfer to the U. S. marks a crucial moment in the fight against drug cartels, reinforcing the commitment to combat illegal drug trafficking and the impact of international cooperation between the U. S. and Mexico. As events unfold, his trial is anticipated to reveal details about his past crimes and potential links to broader cartel operations.

The FBI Swamp Is Deep and Wide, and Flows Through NYC

Attorney General Pam Bondi discussed the potential release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein's case on Fox News. However, the anticipated release did not occur, leading to frustrations and questions about the FBI's actions.

• Pam Bondi announced on Fox News that new details regarding Jeffrey Epstein would be released soon, including flight logs and names of clients involved in his activities.

• Despite the announcement, the expected list was not released the following day, which caused Bondi to express her anger and demand answers.

• Bondi discovered that the FBI's New York City office possessed thousands of pages of records but was not cooperating with the Department of Justice (DOJ) or FBI headquarters in Washington, D. C.

• Bondi spoke with the newly appointed FBI Director Kash Patel, who was unaware of the New York office's refusal to comply with requests for documents.

• Bondi issued a firm ultimatum for the New York office to turn over the files by 8 AM the next day and plans to investigate who in the office did not comply.

• The situation raises concerns about the independence of the FBI field offices and the centralization of authority within the FBI, which reports to the Attorney General.

• There are fears that documents may be destroyed or that the New York office may not cooperate moving forward, highlighting issues within the Bureau.

• The unfolding scenario has drawn comparisons to past controversies involving government transparency and accountability, particularly related to actions under former President Bill Clinton.

• The lack of media coverage on the situation, especially regarding potential cooperation from the New York office, has been noted as a failure of journalistic inquiry.

The unresolved situation surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case and the FBI's handling of related documents raises significant concerns. The Attorney General's demands and the apparent resistance from the New York office suggest a deeper issue within the Bureau that needs addressing for accountability and transparency. Observers will be watching closely for further developments in the case and the actions taken by the DOJ.

Private Investigators Looking Into Trump's Would-Be Butler Assassin Believe He Had Accomplice

The attempt on former President Donald Trump's life during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 has sparked significant intrigue and concern. The incident is marked by Trump's dramatic response, which could impact his political future. However, the motivations and background of the would-be assassin, Thomas Crook, remain shrouded in mystery.

• Assassination Attempt: Thomas Crook attempted to assassinate Trump but was quickly subdued by law enforcement.

• Investigation Challenges: An investigation into Crook's motivations is ongoing, with the FBI reportedly obstructing efforts to uncover the truth. Local authorities and those who knew Crook are frustrated by the lack of clear answers.

• Family's Silence: Crook’s parents have refused interviews and lead a secluded life, leaving the community curious about their knowledge of his actions.

• Criminal Network Allegations: A private investigator believes that Crook may have been part of a "criminal network" that orchestrated the assassination attempt, suggesting involvement from others at the rally.

• Geofencing Analysis: The investigator and his team have examined electronic data from devices found at various locations related to Crook, indicating he may not have acted alone.

• Contrasting Views on Conspiracy: Representative Clay Higgins, involved in a bipartisan investigation, disagrees with the notion of a conspiracy, believing Crook acted alone. He criticizes the FBI for allegedly hindering his investigation.

• Lack of Evidence: Despite extensive investigations, including ballistic examinations and discussions with Crook’s family, Higgins admits to having only one theory: Crook might have been influenced by prescription drugs.

The assassination attempt on Donald Trump raises serious questions about the assailant's motivations and possible accomplices. While some investigators suspect a broader conspiracy, others believe Crook acted independently, influenced by personal issues. The ongoing investigation continues to explore these mysteries, leaving many unresolved questions about the attempt and its implications for national security.

DOJ to Investigate Empty Migrant Facility Receiving $18 Million a Month in Shady No-Bid Contract Brokered by Biden Transition Team Member

A recently uncovered scandal involves a migrant facility in Pecos, Texas, which has been receiving significant payments despite being empty. The Justice Department is set to investigate this deal that has connections to a Biden official.

• The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been paying $18 million per month since March 2024 to keep an empty migrant facility operational.

• The contract for this facility was secured by Andrew Lorenzen-Strait, a former ICE employee who transitioned to a role with the Biden administration in 2021.

• Family Endeavors, the organization managing the facility, saw its financial assets grow dramatically after securing the no-bid contract, rising from $8. 3 million in 2020 to $520. 4 million in 2023.

• The empty facility's contract has now been terminated, resulting in annual savings of over $215 million for taxpayers.

• Previous reports highlighted the poor living conditions within the facility, which housed unaccompanied minors.

• The HHS reopened the Pecos facility to accommodate an increase in border crossings, despite its history of inadequate living standards.

The investigation into the Pecos facility and the associated contracts underlines concerns over mismanagement of taxpayer funds and the influence of political connections in securing government contracts. Further scrutiny is expected as the Justice Department continues its inquiry.

NEVER FORGET: On Joe Biden’s First Day in Office He Shutdown Keystone Pipeline and Trump Border Wall Construction, Eliminating 52,100 Jobs!… NOT ONE Liberal or Mainstream Media Hack Shed a Single Tear

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden's actions reportedly led to significant job losses, particularly in construction.

1. Job Elimination: Biden's decision to halt the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline was said to have eliminated over 11,000 construction jobs and a total of approximately 52,100 jobs when including the broader impact across the U. S. , according to the U. S. State Department.

2. Border Wall Construction: The termination of the Trump border wall project was reported to have resulted in the loss of an additional 10,000 jobs.

3. Gas Prices: Following these decisions, gas prices in America reportedly surged to over $5 per gallon. This prompted Biden to seek assistance from OPEC to increase oil supply.

4. Media Response: The report suggests that there was a lack of sympathy from liberal media and commentators for those who lost their jobs in the energy and construction sectors.

5. Current Events: The article highlights how the media seeks to provoke emotional responses from the public regarding job loss in other contexts, contrasting it with their reaction to the job losses due to Biden's policies.

The article emphasizes the significant number of jobs lost due to Biden's initial executive orders on his first day in office, drawing attention to rising gas prices and the perceived media bias towards these issues.

Housing: The Foundations of the Middle Class Are Crumbling

Charles Hugh Smith discusses the current state of housing as it relates to the middle class. Historically, homeownership provided stability and financial security, but now these foundations are eroding.

1. Homeownership's Historical Importance: Since World War II, owning a home has been crucial for achieving middle-class status and financial security through equity build-up.

2. Rising Costs: Ownership costs have become unpredictable and excessive, with increased insurance premiums and property taxes due to climate change and rising home values.

3. Mortgage Challenges: Current mortgage rates are higher than they were in previous years, making housing unaffordable for many potential buyers. Those with low rates are trapped in their homes.

4. Increased Ownership Costs: The total cost of homeownership now exceeds previous housing bubbles, turning house buying into a gamble rather than a secure investment.

5. Affordability Crisis: Housing has become increasingly unaffordable, similar to conditions during the last housing crash. Many regions have seen sharp increases in housing prices outpacing wages.

6. Supply and Demand Issues: High costs of land, materials, and labor complicate efforts to build affordable housing, with restrictive zoning laws further inhibiting new developments.

7. Generational and Regional Divides: Older generations who bought homes years ago benefit from accumulated equity, while younger buyers struggle with inflated prices and limited opportunities.

8. Renting is Not Cheaper: Rising rent prices mirror the cost of buying homes, with rental agreements lacking predictability, leading to financial instability for renters.

The loss of predictability in housing costs has undermined the traditional role of homeownership as a source of financial security, making it a risky investment. As housing affordability declines and ownership costs soar, the middle class faces increasing instability, reminiscent of a gambling environment where the odds are against them. The changing landscape of housing may leave future homeowners and current owners in precarious positions as costs continue to rise.

38 Attorneys General Urge FDA to Offer Protection From Fake Weight Loss Drugs

A coalition of attorneys general from 38 U. S. states is urging the FDA to take action against counterfeit versions of weight loss and diabetes medications, such as Ozempic and Mounjaro. These fake drugs pose serious health risks to consumers.

• Call for FDA Action: Attorneys general are pushing the FDA to protect the public from counterfeit GLP-1 medications. This includes using enforcement tools against those selling fake drugs.

• Counterfeit Drug Risks: The letter highlights that counterfeit drugs can contain harmful substances or unknown drugs, leading to serious side effects, including hospitalization. Many consumers cannot identify fake from legitimate products.

• Sources of Counterfeits: The fake medications often come from countries like China, Turkey, and India. Scammers have even sold repackaged insulin as Ozempic.

• Illegal Online Sales: Some retailers are selling active ingredients of GLP-1 drugs without prescriptions, increasing risks of contamination. Consumers mixing their own medications may lack the knowledge for safe handling.

• Compounding Pharmacies Issues: Certain compounding pharmacies have been discovered to produce unsafe versions of GLP-1 medications, leading to concerns about safety and efficacy.

• Public Health Incidents: Reports of health issues linked to fake Ozempic have emerged, including cases of hospitalization due to seizures and hypoglycemia.

• FDA Responses: The FDA has seized counterfeit drugs and assured the public that legitimate GLP-1 medications are now back in supply, though some localized shortages may still occur.

The attorneys general's letter demands that the FDA enhance its efforts to combat counterfeit GLP-1 drugs by working with other federal agencies and ensuring that compounding pharmacies adhere to safety regulations. The issues surrounding these counterfeit medications highlight the significant risks posed to consumers seeking effective weight loss treatments.

Universities: Dysfunctional Incubators of Socialism

Ludwig von Mises referred to universities as "nurseries of socialism," highlighting the socialist bias prevalent in government-funded institutions. This article discusses how modern American universities have exacerbated this bias and the implications for students and academic freedom.

• Many American universities are heavily influenced by government funding, leading to a lack of true customer accountability and critical thinking skills among students.

• The social dynamic in universities prioritizes compliance over independent thought, with faculty often discouraged from opposing prevailing ideologies.

• University boards tend to support administrators' decisions to maintain social status, often yielding to pressures related to diversity and inclusion, which can suppress dissenting opinions.

• Research in universities is often constrained by funding sources, limiting the publication of work that critiques the government or standard practices in fields like environmental science or economics.

• The lack of consumer or shareholder input creates a system where administrators operate without significant oversight, which can stifle free expression among faculty, particularly those with conservative or libertarian views.

• The governance structure often favors less productive faculty when setting policies, compounding the issues of how universities are run.

• Ultimately, universities function as socialist institutions due to their reliance on taxpayer funding and flawed incentive systems, leading to the production of students who are more aligned with socialist ideas.

The article emphasizes that universities have become more entrenched in socialist ideologies than in the past, raising concerns about the academic environment and the critical faculties of students. It prompts readers to consider the efficacy of current educational structures in fostering genuine intellectual debate and growth.

WHCA Cartel Is Freaking Out Because It’s Losing Power And Control, Not Press Freedom

The media is expressing strong concerns over changes to press access to President Trump, particularly regarding the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) and its influence over reporting.

1. Press Access Changes:

• Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the White House will control which reporters can access President Trump, particularly in sensitive areas like the Oval Office. This marks a shift from previous WHCA control.

2. Reaction from WHCA:

• The WHCA, represented by Eugene Daniels from Politico, condemned the change, stating it undermines the independence of the free press. Major news outlet editors echoed this sentiment, claiming that any limitation affects the essence of a democratic press.

3. Legacy Media’s Stance:

• Some legacy media companies, including Associated Press and Bloomberg, emphasized the importance of an independent press for democracy and warned against any limitations to their special access to the White House.

4. Criticism of Corporate Media:

• The article argues that the corporate media has not maintained true independence and often aligned with the narratives of Democrats, pointing to instances like the Russia collusion story as examples of bias.

5. Concerns About Freedom of Press:

• Critics highlight that the media's fear is about losing control over news narratives rather than a true concern for journalistic integrity. This is illustrated by media reactions to Trump's past actions against news outlets.

6. Historical Context:

• The WHCA’s previous failure to defend against Biden's administration's restrictions on journalist access is presented as a contradiction to their claim of defending a free press.

The changes in White House press access have sparked outrage from traditional media, who are perceived to be more concerned with losing their historical control over news narratives than with genuine press freedom. This shift could result in a broader range of media voices being heard, challenging the established media's monopoly.

The Education Exodus

The article by Ronald Beaty discusses the rising trend of homeschool co-ops as an alternative to public education, which many parents see as increasingly hostile to their values. By 2025, it is estimated that seven million children are being educated outside traditional schools, marking a significant shift towards educational freedom and autonomy.

1. Public School Concerns: Public schools are viewed as places promoting progressive ideas rather than civic education. Curricula often teach Critical Race Theory and other ideologies that some parents, particularly conservatives, find troubling.

2. Hostility to Family Values: Many parents believe schools have become antagonistic towards their values, leading to a decade-long rise in dissatisfaction with public education.

3. Homeschool Co-ops Emergence: Homeschool co-ops are groups of families coming together to provide education outside of public schools. They prioritize community engagement and often have diverse educational offerings.

4. Improved Academic Outcomes: Studies show homeschooled students, particularly those in co-ops, achieve higher academic performance than their public school peers. They often have lower education costs compared to private schooling.

5. Criticism of Co-ops: Critics claim that these co-ops may foster insularity and promote echo chambers. However, proponents argue that many public schools reflect a similar bias toward liberal ideologies.

6. Value of Alternative Education: Co-ops promote self-reliance, character building, and diverse intellectual thought that transcends traditional progressive narratives found in many public schools.

7. Challenges of Co-ops: Despite their benefits, co-ops face obstacles such as limited resources and socialization opportunities that public schools can offer. However, they can provide an enriching educational experience without ideological bias.

8. Call for Support: The author calls for support of homeschool co-ops, suggesting the creation of "Homeschool Liberty Funds" to help fund these initiatives. Parents are encouraged to advocate for laws protecting educational freedoms.

The rise of homeschool co-ops represents a significant educational movement against what many see as a decline in public schooling's quality and values. Just as past revolutionaries took a stand for their beliefs, today's families are finding new ways to champion educational freedom and reclaim their children's learning opportunities. Supporting this movement is essential for preserving a diverse and vibrant educational landscape.

COVID vaccines were NEVER meant to stop infection: Dr. Birx’s shocking admission exposes public health failures

Dr. Deborah Birx, former White House Coronavirus Response coordinator, disclosed that COVID-19 vaccines were not intended to stop infections but to reduce severe disease in high-risk groups. This statement has triggered significant discussions about public health practices and trust.

1. Vaccine Purpose Misunderstood: According to Birx, the COVID-19 vaccines aimed only to mitigate severe illness, not to prevent infection altogether.

2. Public Health Messaging Issues: Birx criticized health messaging during the pandemic for being misleading, which contributed to vaccine hesitancy and declining public confidence in health authorities.

3. CDC Definition Change: In 2021, the CDC modified its definition of "vaccine" by removing the term “immunity,” suggesting the vaccines' limited effectiveness.

4. Financial Gains for Pharmaceutical Companies: The pandemic has significantly benefitted pharmaceutical companies, raising concerns about their priorities being more about profit than public health.

5. Need for Accountability and Transparency: Birx emphasized the importance of accountability in public health, suggesting that decisions should prioritize individual autonomy and trust.

6. Criticism of Vaccination Rollout: Birx pointed out the failure to prioritize vaccinations for the most vulnerable populations, claiming young individuals were vaccinated before the elderly, contradicting scientific guidelines.

7. Public Trust in Decline: Vaccine hesitancy has increased, and many people believe public health authorities have mismanaged the pandemic response, leading to a loss of confidence.

Dr. Birx's comments raise critical questions about vaccine mandates and public health protocols. They underline the necessity for transparency and adherence to scientific principles in health decisions. The ongoing debate reflects the broader struggle to restore trust in health systems and ensure that health policies prioritize people over profits. Whether accountability will be established among those responsible remains to be seen.

Trump’s latest Executive Order forces healthcare price transparency, shaking up an industry that thrived on secrecy and price gouging

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at making healthcare prices transparent. This order seeks to shake up an industry that has long kept pricing secret and potentially allows consumers to find better deals on medical services.

• The executive order mandates that healthcare providers and insurers publicly disclose their prices for services.

• It targets the lack of transparency that has historically benefited insurers and providers, keeping patients uninformed.

• Trump's 2019 rules on price transparency had low compliance, with only 14% of hospitals adhering to them by 2022.

• The new directive intends to enforce stricter compliance and requires full disclosure of actual costs for procedures like MRIs and colonoscopies.

• Critics, including some insurance industry groups, argue that the policy might raise premiums and disrupt current negotiating processes.

• Andrew Bremberg, a former official in Trump's administration, remarked that this move represents a significant step toward empowering consumers.

• Cynthia Fisher from PatientRightsAdvocate.org noted that real price visibility could transform the healthcare market by enhancing competition.

• The executive order also follows another initiative aimed to reduce costs related to in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Trump's executive order signifies a major shift in the healthcare system, pushing for greater transparency which could ultimately lower costs for patients. If successful, this could change how healthcare is accessed and paid for in America, shifting power towards consumers. The initiative is positioned as a challenge to a long-standing system of secrecy in healthcare pricing.

State Department Completes Foreign Funding Review, Identifying 15,000 Grants Worth $60 Billion for Elimination

The Trump administration has conducted a thorough review of U. S. foreign aid, aiming to eliminate a significant portion of funding and streamline its foreign assistance programs. The review focuses on ensuring taxpayer dollars are used effectively in alignment with American interests.

1. Foreign Aid Cuts:

• The State Department identified nearly 15,000 grants, valued at $60 billion, for potential elimination. This includes over 9,100 grants from the State Department worth approximately $15. 9 billion and 5,800 grants from USAID totaling $54 billion, marking a drastic 92% reduction in USAID's spending.

2. Review Rationale:

• The push for these cuts aligns with the "America First" policy by prioritizing spending that advances U. S. safety, strength, and prosperity while eliminating programs that are seen as less beneficial.

3. Background on Previous Funding:

• Under the Biden administration, USAID funded numerous initiatives related to environmental justice, LGBTQI+ inclusivity, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts overseas, drawing both support and criticism.

4. Legal Challenges and Court Orders:

• Some foreign aid groups and contractors have filed lawsuits to resume paused payments following the aid freeze. A D. C. judge ordered resumption of $2 billion in taxpayer-funded payments, leading to a temporary Supreme Court block as the situation is reviewed.

5. Goals of Reform:

• The administration aims to reform USAID by significantly reducing its workforce from around 10,000 to approximately 600 staff members. Current efforts include evaluating projects under the new criteria of national interest and security.

6. Waivers and Internal Tensions:

• Despite the cuts, career staff members at USAID have been able to submit waivers for programs they believe align with the administration’s goals. However, this has caused tensions within the agency.

7. Concerning Instances of Aid Mismanagement:

• Reports indicate past mismanagement, with funds allegedly funneled to groups with ties to terrorism and anti-Israel advocacy, raising concerns about oversight and control of foreign aid.

The Trump administration is undertaking a sweeping revision of foreign aid, aiming to prioritize American interests and reduce funding for programs deemed unnecessary. This initiative faces legal challenges, internal disagreements within USAID, and scrutiny regarding past practices of aid distribution. The outcome of these efforts will significantly impact U. S. foreign assistance strategies and relationships with recipient countries moving forward.

11 Months After Biden’s Debate, CNN Anchor to Publish Book Exposing His Senility

CNN anchor Jake Tapper is set to release a book titled “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again” in May 2025. This book comes almost a year after a pivotal debate where the reality of President Biden's mental decline became undeniable.

• In June 2024, the Democratic Party confronted the truth about Biden's senility, despite having prior knowledge. Their efforts to hide it through media manipulation fell short.

• Tapper's book suggests that Biden's decision to run for reelection is rooted in narcissism and self-delusion and describes it as a reckless gamble that failed, contributing to a significant public deception.

• The claim is made that Biden's mental incapacity renders his decisions inconsequential, with stakeholders around him prioritizing their benefit over the public interest.

• The media’s complicity is called into question, as they were aware of Biden's condition and actively participated in the cover-up. The narrative created by the media shifted after the truth was exposed.

• The book raises questions about the extent of the cover-up and whether it constituted a conspiracy. It suggests that the media previously shielded Biden from scrutiny and then blamed his team once the reality was clear.

• Many Americans perceived Biden as incapable well before the situation became mainstream news, which raises concerns about why the media did not report this sooner.

Tapper's upcoming book aims to unravel the extent of the cover-up regarding Biden's fitness for office while implicating media involvement. It will attempt to set the record straight on what really happened with Biden’s candidacy and the media's role leading up to and following the 2024 election.

State Rep. Wes Virdell Introduces Bill To Make Ivermectin Available OTC

A new state bill could allow the sale of ivermectin without a prescription. State Rep. Wes Virdell introduced HB 3175, which aims to enhance personal medical freedom.

• The bill directs the Commissioner of State Health Services to let licensed pharmacists dispense ivermectin OTC, as long as they choose to stock it.

• Virdell cites a need for this bill after observing people using experimental treatments during COVID-19 while ivermectin, a well-known drug, was disregarded.

• Ivermectin has been credited for its efficacy in killing parasites and has won a Nobel Prize for its discovery.

• While some studies suggest it may reduce COVID-19 fatalities, the FDA does not approve ivermectin for treating COVID-19, asserting that current data does not support its efficacy.

• Doctors can prescribe ivermectin off-label when they see fit, despite past FDA warnings against its use for COVID-19.

• The bill is scheduled to take effect on September 1, 2025, if passed. Previous attempts to pass similar legislation have failed.

The proposed bill aims to make ivermectin more accessible, allowing for OTC sales while highlighting the ongoing debate about its effectiveness against COVID-19.

Truth is the First Casualty of War

The idea that “Truth is the first casualty of war” highlights how wars often serve the interests of those in power while bringing suffering to ordinary people. This perspective is rooted in historical observations and will be explored in an upcoming conference.

• The phrase about truth and war comes from ancient Greece and reflects how wars are primarily about conquest and state power.

• Citizens face significant hardships during war, including death, injury, economic burden, and loss of freedoms, while soldiers bear the greatest costs.

• Hermann Göring’s statement during the Nuremberg trials reveals how governments manipulate public perception to gain support for war.

• The Mises Institute aims to revisit the costs of war at its upcoming conference on May 15–17, focusing on questioning official narratives of history.

• Renowned speakers, including historians and experts on war, will present at the conference, which will stream live and be archived online.

• Governments commonly misrepresent historical truths, particularly regarding wartime actions and motives, creating a narrative that serves state interests.

• The conference will culminate in a publication of the presented papers in a hardback book, available for purchase as well as in ebook and audiobook formats.

The conference presents an opportunity to challenge widespread misconceptions about war and contribute to a more honest discourse. Donations can support the project, with specific recognition for larger contributions. For further information or to sponsor a student, interested individuals can contact Kristy Holmes.

Trump Is Not Destroying Institutions; That’s What FDR Did

In Washington, DC, the government was once trusted and effective, making people happy and secure. This changed dramatically when disruptive forces began undermining the system. Brooke Harrington from Dartmouth College highlights this issue in an article for the New York Times, expressing concern about the consequences of this shift.

1. Unleashed Instability:

Harrington states that under President Trump’s influence, initiatives like Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency have destabilized essential federal systems, threatening public trust and safety.

2. Historical Comparison:

She compares the current situation to Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal, suggesting that instead of improving institutions, the current administration is dismantling them, leading to a crisis of trust in the government.

3. Faith in Institutions:

Trust in complex government systems and civil service has historically helped the U. S. recover from crises, like the COVID-19 pandemic. Harrington argues this trust is vital for societal and economic prosperity.

4. Skepticism of Government:

The article suggests a critical view of Harrington's optimistic portrayal of government, asserting that this perspective stems from a progressive belief in technocracy, where experts guide decision-making.

5. Pandemic Response:

The response to COVID-19 highlighted distrust among citizens toward the government’s decisions, with many believing that more government intervention, like lockdowns and school closings, was misguided.

6. FDR's Legacy:

Contrary to Harrington's assertion that FDR restored trust in institutions, critics argue he concentrated power in the executive branch, undermining trust in the private sector and increasing skepticism towards the government.

7. Concerns Over DOGE:

Harrington claims Elon Musk's DOGE initiative threatens trust; however, evidence suggests the Biden administration engaged in questionable practices with taxpayer funds, raising further distrust.

8. Corruption Allegations:

Critics argue that governmental corruption has affected various institutions, and while Harrington critiques Trump and Musk's actions, she overlooks significant issues within the current administration.

9. Progressive Ideologies:

The article ends with a reference to a tension within progressivismbetween uplifting disadvantaged groups and controlling those viewed as a threat. This implies a divide in approach to governance.

Harrington’s portrayal of government reflects an elitist view lacking critical insight into current challenges. As the nation confronts growing distrust and corruption, it remains essential to understand the implications of these shifts on the political landscape and society’s faith in governance. The hope is that political changes will lead to a more accountable and trustworthy government in the future.

Did Jeff Bezos Just Kill Karl Marx On K Street?

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post, announced significant changes to the paper’s opinion sections. The new policy will focus on promoting "personal liberties and free markets" as core values.

• Bezos stated that the opinion pages will now support the "two pillars" he believes are essential for America's success: personal liberties and free markets.

• He declared that opposing viewpoints would be published elsewhere, suggesting that dissenting perspectives are not welcome on his platform.

• Some reactions to Bezos's announcement were harsh, with critics expressing outrage. For instance, Keith Olbermann referred to the Post’s new direction as "fascist. "

• There were also reactions from Post staffers, with some describing the change as a serious infringement on their editorial freedom.

• Bezos defended his position, arguing that supporting free markets and personal liberties will help the paper distinguish itself in a competitive media landscape.

• The Post has struggled with competitors in recent years and had leaned leftward in its editorial direction, which Bezos suggested may need to change for survival.

• The rising popularity of socialism among Democrats was highlighted, indicating a shift in attitudes that could conflict with mainstream views on capitalism and personal freedom.

• Post CEO Will Lewis emphasized the importance of clarity in the newspaper's stance to serve all Americans.

Jeff Bezos’s shift towards advocating for personal liberties and free markets in the Washington Post’s opinion pages has drawn mixed reactions. While it aims to assert a strong editorial identity, critics worry it may undermine the diversity of thought traditionally found in journalism. This change represents a critical moment for the newspaper as it seeks to remain relevant in today's media environment.

DOGE says Texas nonprofit with former Biden transition member reaped millions operating empty facility

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has ended a contract with Family Endeavors, a nonprofit, which was receiving millions monthly to manage an overflow facility in Texas that remained unused.

• The contract was terminated because Family Endeavors, which had a former U. S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement employee involved, failed to utilize the overflow facility in Pecos, Texas.

• HHS continued to pay Family Endeavors $18 million each month for this empty facility since March 2024.

• Family Endeavors' financial status grew from $8. 3 million in 2020 to $520. 4 million in 2023 due to this contract.

• HHS’s termination of the arrangement aims to save taxpayers more than $215 million annually as national facility occupancy for licensed care facilities is below 20%.

• The leader of DOGE, Elon Musk, is pursuing aggressive measures to cut government waste, aiming for a target of $100 trillion in spending cuts.

The termination of the HHS contract with Family Endeavors highlights concerns over government spending on unused facilities and reflects efforts to improve accountability and save taxpayer money.

Watch Megyn Kelly’s EPIC Takedown of Rachel Maddow Following MSNBC’s Firing of Joy Reid

After Joy Reid's recent firing from MSNBC, Rachel Maddow expressed sadness on her show and suggested that the termination was racially motivated. This response prompted a strong reaction from Megyn Kelly, who criticized Maddow during her podcast.

• Rachel Maddow reacted to Joy Reid's firing by voicing her sadness and implying racial bias in the decision.

• Megyn Kelly responded harshly to Maddow's comments, emphasizing that her criticism of MSNBC was inappropriate.

• Kelly accused Maddow of being hypocritical and self-righteous, stating, "She oozes sanctimony and self-righteousness. "

• Kelly indicated that if any of her employees criticized her publicly in the same manner, she would fire them immediately, ignoring claims of viewpoint discrimination.

• She also pointed out the contradiction in Maddow’s criticism of the network regarding racial bias since both Reid and another canceled anchor, Wagner, were non-white.

• The situation highlights the struggles of liberal media, as Kelly insinuated that Maddow could be the next to leave due to ratings challenges.

Megyn Kelly's critique of Rachel Maddow sheds light on the complex dynamics within liberal media following recent firings. The conflict emphasizes perceptions of hypocrisy and racial discussions while reflecting broader trends in media viewership and trust.

Dawn of a New Era

The world is undergoing significant changes, marking the beginning of a new era with profound implications, especially for the United States and its global influence.

• The period between 1989 and 1991 saw the collapse of the Communist bloc, positioning the United States as the leading global power. However, this dominance has impacted the national psyche negatively.

• Francis Fukuyama's idea, “The End of History,” suggested that Western-style liberal democracy and free markets would inevitably spread worldwide, implying that societies would adopt these frameworks.

• Western leadership attempted to detach liberal democracy from its cultural roots while promoting it as a universal model, leading to a misunderstanding of global diversity and values.

• Historical efforts to impose belief systems show that cultural and societal variations persist, as seen in failed attempts to reshape societies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

• The U. S. and China have developed contrasting political models; China’s authoritarian approach has stabilized its regime, while the U. S. struggles with domestic dissatisfaction and divisive politics.

• Many Western countries are divided, with some citizens seeking revolutionary change while others want a return to traditional values. This division intensified with events like Brexit and Trump’s presidency.

• Klaus Schwab’s concept of a “Great Reset” emphasizes a global governance model akin to China's, prioritizing social control to maintain liberal democracy.

• Post-COVID, there is uncertainty regarding governance, rights, and international relations, suggesting a shift in the global order.

• The U. S. is currently pursuing a different path under the Trump administration, aiming to restore traditional norms, while forming new alliances with like-minded countries.

The current era is crucial for determining the future direction of global governance and political ideology. The choices made by leaders in the coming years, particularly in the United States, could significantly impact the world’s trajectory.

Harmeet Dhillon Says Corporations With DEI Racial Quotas Could Be Prosecuted For Civil Rights Violations

Harmeet Dhillon, nominated to lead the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice, discussed her commitment to enforcing federal civil rights laws, particularly against racial quotas used by corporations.

• Target's Initiative: During her confirmation hearing, Dhillon commented on a 2023 initiative by Target to hire 20% more black employees, which she deemed an "overt racial quota system" that could be illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

• Stance on Racial Quotas: Dhillon affirmed that if facts align with Schmitt's description, such practices are unconstitutional. She emphasized that racial discrimination in hiring is inappropriate and would be a focus of her role.

• Civil Rights Enforcement: Dhillon mentioned the need for a close look at how DEI programs have been applied and stressed the importance of equal enforcement of civil rights for all groups.

• Lack of Prosecutions: Senator Schmitt pointed out that there had been no civil rights prosecutions for illegal racial quotas under the Biden administration, a point that Dhillon acknowledged.

• System of Discrimination: Schmitt argued that the current civil rights bureaucracy perpetuates discrimination against certain races, claiming that systemic racism affects Asians, whites, and other disfavored groups.

• Definition of Racism: Dhillon stated that she does not use the term “reverse racism,” asserting discrimination based on race is simply racism.

• Addressing Religious Discrimination: Dhillon expressed concerns about rising antisemitism in universities and indicated that religious discrimination would also be a focus for the Civil Rights Division.

In her confirmation hearing, Harmeet Dhillon made clear her stance against racial quotas, emphasizing the enforcement of civil rights laws in a manner that applies equally to all Americans, regardless of race or religion. She aims to dismantle practices that she views as discriminatory and pledged to address various forms of discrimination, including religious bias in educational institutions.

Supreme Court, for Now, Blocks Order for Admin to Unfreeze Aid

The Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a lower court's order requiring the Trump administration to release billions of dollars in U. S. foreign aid by an 11:59 PM deadline.

• Chief Justice John Roberts announced the high court's decision to hold the ruling from U. S. District Judge Amir H. Ali, pending further evaluation.

• Judge Ali's ruling came after a lawsuit by nonprofits and businesses against the federal government's freeze on foreign aid.

• The Trump administration had initiated a freeze on foreign assistance following an executive order aimed at cutting what was described as wasteful programs.

• On Wednesday, the administration disclosed plans to cut over 90% of contracts from the U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID), impacting $60 billion in assistance.

• The administration argued that these cuts are necessary to eliminate waste and are in line with its foreign policy.

• Reports indicate Trump and Elon Musk's teams are rapidly terminating aid contracts, halting numerous U. S. funded programs overseas.

• Nonprofits dependent on these contracts claim that the terminations are being performed hastily without thorough review, attempting to bypass the order to temporarily lift the funding freeze.

• Senator Chris Murphy criticized the administration's approach, asserting it undermines Congressional and judicial oversight.

• The Trump administration declared it would eliminate thousands of long-term USAID contracts and State Department grants, prompted by a court order to expedite decisions regarding foreign aid.

• By the end of the day, the administration began processing some overdue payments after a month of inactivity.

The situation surrounding U. S. foreign aid remains contentious as the Supreme Court's intervention holds off significant funding releases while the Trump administration aggressively pursues cuts to overseas assistance programs.

“The Real Heart of the Democratic Party Is With the Criminals”

Eric Johnson, the Mayor of Dallas, recently spoke about various topics, including his shift from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, the future of sports in North Texas, and the city's growth challenges. This summary outlines his main points from the interview with Texas Monthly.

1. Schedule and Family Life:

Johnson balances his mayoral responsibilities with family, mentioning his children's activities and plans for the weekend.

2. NFL Expansion:

Johnson advocates for bringing a second NFL team to Dallas. He believes North Texas, being the fastest-growing metro area, can support two teams just like New York and Los Angeles. He argues that the local football culture and population size justify this ambition.

3. Dallas Cowboys:

Although he is a lifelong Cowboys fan, Johnson clarifies that having a second NFL team would not diminish the Cowboys' status. He feels that competition could benefit the region and stimulate financial opportunities for all involved.

4. WNBA and Sports Hub Vision:

Johnson's support for moving the WNBA's Dallas Wings to the city is part of his broader vision to make Dallas a significant sports hub, especially highlighting the increasing popularity of women's sports.

5. Population Trends:

He addressed concerns about Dallas's population decline, stating that while the city may not be growing as fast as surrounding areas, it is still part of the larger rapidly growing North Texas region.

6. Welfare Program Cuts:

Johnson suggested that Dallas should refocus spending on essential services like public safety and infrastructure rather than welfare programs that could be managed by non-profits or other government levels.

7. Crime Reduction:

Johnson emphasized that crime has been decreasing under his leadership due to a well-defined plan and new police leadership. He prefers to call crime a "challenge" rather than a "crisis. "

8. Shift from Democratic to Republican Party:

Johnson explained his political shift by stating that the Democratic Party has moved too far left for his beliefs. He feels that the party no longer prioritizes public safety or support for law enforcement, which is crucial to him as both a mayor and father.

9. Broad Brush of Democratic Policies:

He noted that multiple Democrats may campaign on law and order but often do not act on those promises when elected. Johnson believes that the party is increasingly favoring offenders over victims.

10. Personal Reflections on Challenges:

Johnson shared his experiences growing up poor and feeling supported until he began achieving academic success. This led to some competition and criticism from others as he pursued advanced opportunities.

Mayor Eric Johnson is focused on promoting Dallas as a leading sports hub while ensuring public safety and addressing welfare budget concerns. His party shift reflects his belief in more conservative values regarding law enforcement and community welfare, highlighting a significant ideological change he perceives within the Democratic Party.

Trump takes a stand on Elections- one day of voting with people, paper, and pens (and proof)!

This solution is the Gold Standard for Elections, and we at SC Safe Election are making it happen.

Our whitepaper outlines the gold standard for optimizing security, transparency, verifiability, and accessibility in all four stages of the election process. You can view it here. Many of us have participated in trials and demonstrations, and we can attest that we can count ballots efficiently—and it is fun!

We must “unplug” our elections from the internet, machines, and third parties.

Thanks for reading SC Safe Elections News! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support our work.

In his presentation at the Republican Governor’s meeting, Trump made it clear that he is serious about implementing a paper ballot system.

Specifically, he stated that paper ballots with watermarks should be used and machines and computers shouldn’t. Our Gold Standards Election whitepaper outlines this method, which we tested with volunteers statewide. In the meantime, our election director is trying to allocate funds in the 2025 fiscal budget to purchase ES&S DS300 tabulators (the machines where you scan your ballot after marking them). Given that federal funds for electronic election systems may be eliminated and that there will be an impetus for an “unplugged system,” they should rethink that expenditure. Another critical issue is significant security issues with the DS300 tabulators that the SEC wants to purchase to replace the DS200s.

Please take a look at this article and interview with cybersecurity expert Julie Baker for more information.

https://www.scsafeelections.org/updates/significant-security-concerns-with-new-sc-tabulators/

By the way, all of your calls and emails worked as the regulations that the State SEC was trying to pass were put on hold. These are currently over in the Senate, so we must work that side of the legislature.

We are working diligently behind the scenes with election experts nationwide to affect change at the national level. Expect big things, and they will happen!

Keep the faith,

Democratic Donors Revolt, Shut Off Cash Flow to Party: ‘No Message, No Organization, No Forward Thinking’

The Democratic Party is facing significant issues regarding its finances and connection with donors. Many key supporters are frustrated and have chosen to halt their contributions.

• Democratic donors are unhappy with the party, expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of a coherent message and organization.

• A significant source of frustration comes from recent election results, leading many to feel uninspired by the party's current direction.

• Donors are voicing their thoughts openly, with one major donor stating, "The Democratic Party is f‑‑‑ing terrible. Plain and simple. "

• Another donor echoed this sentiment, questioning why they should continue to contribute without clear goals or strategies from the party.

• The Democratic Party is struggling to connect with the American people and has resorted to negative campaigning against figures like Trump and Elon Musk instead of developing positive initiatives.

• Without the support of its donors, the party faces a critical financial challenge as it attempts to recover from recent electoral defeats.

The situation reflects a broader crisis within the Democratic Party, as both major and small-dollar donors withdraw their financial support due to dissatisfaction with party leadership and direction. The current climate indicates a serious need for the party to reassess its strategy and reconnect with its base to avoid further loss of financial backing.

Trump Announces $5 Million "Gold Card" To "World-Class" Foreigners To Pay Down Deficit

President Trump has proposed a new immigration program involving a "gold card" for wealthy foreign nationals. This initiative aims to provide an alternative to the existing EB-5 program by requiring a $5 million investment.

• The gold card will offer residency, work rights, and a pathway to citizenship for those who purchase it.

• Trump emphasized that this program is designed to attract job creators and skilled individuals, contrasting it with the current administration's immigration policies, which he claims lead to the entry of unvetted illegal immigrants.

• The gold card program will replace the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program, which has been criticized for its susceptibility to fraud.

• Trump believes that selling millions of these cards will generate revenue that can help reduce the nation's deficit.

• The announcement suggests that the program might be ready in a few weeks, with recipients undergoing vetting.

Through the new gold card initiative, Trump aims to reshape U. S. immigration to attract wealthy and skilled individuals, highlighting a significant difference from the current administration's policies that he deems ineffective.
