In General

This is an item everyone should read and ponder.  I cannot vouch for all his content but much of it has previously been shared and I think has credibility at least to ponder and place content and thoughts into the context of national and international on the political stage and powerful power brokers within the private sector who are wielding great influence over things in our country and across the globe.  A quote by John C. Calhoun sets the stage.  "“The Government of the absolute majority instead of the Government of the people is but the Government of the strongest interests; and when not efficiently checked, it is the most tyrannical and oppressive that can be devised.”    http://www.newswithviews.com/Ewart/ron242.htm

If you want to locate one of the main causes for so many of our current spate of troubles this example will help.  The principles involved in creating so many of our problems have no principles and find fault with anyone who does not agree that it is they who have a hold on all truth.  They are never wrong - if something goes wrong it is always someone else's fault. This professor serves to illustrate.  I could mention President Obama and Hillary Clinton, too, but that is for another time. https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/03/11/leftist-professor-fired-by-leftist-university-for-threatening-leftist-press-at-leftist-rally-blames-conservatives/

And interesting but disturbing interview. Quote: "As an Englishman who loves America, the real America, Masters has for 27 years been warning Americans about the disintegration of their country on his syndicated radio program, "How Your Mind Can Keep You Well." Here for the first time, he is laying out what he sees in store for this country in the years ahead."   http://www.newswithviews.com/Masters/roy155.htm

Good summary of the problem with Washington and a touch of good advice.    http://dailysignal.com/2016/03/14/why-washingtons-political-class-is-losing-control/

More wisdom from Thomas Sowell.  Quote: "What does Trump offer his supporters that makes them so willing to overlook so much? He boldly articulates the resentment and anger they feel at having been betrayed by smug elites in general and the Republican establishment in particular.  Charismatic leaders who articulated the just grievances of the people have often risen to power on the basis of that talent alone. And those who put them in power have often paid a catastrophic price afterwards. That story was repeated in countries around the world in the 20th century.  Will that story be repeated in America in the 21st century? The vote on March 15, 2016 may give us a clue."   http://townhall.com/columnists/thomassowell/2016/03/15/draft-n2133589

This is a most interesting piece.  The Alabama Supreme Court may be on to something.   http://www.onenewsnow.com/perspectives/bryan-fischer/2016/03/10/alabama-how-to-break-the-back-of-judicial-tyranny

Want to know what is wrong with Democrat Socialism ala Bernie Sanders and to a lesser degree Hillary Clinton?   Read this. http://townhall.com/columnists/robertknight/2016/03/16/draft-n2134585/page/full

When arrogance is replaced by absolute certainty of one's own rightness then, to such a person, a nation's laws are no longer relevant.  Such people believe they are the law and anyone who differs with them are criminally wrong.  Quote: "Now, judging from what Attorney General Loretta Lynch had to say at a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Justice Department operations, Obama’s future method of response may become more official.  Apparently, Obama’s Justice Department is in the process of deciding whether or not to take civil action against beliefs held by those Iran would call “gross offenders of the moral order.” Lynch had this to say about how climate “deniers” in the fossil fuel industry could possibly face lawsuits: This matter has been discussed. We have received information about it and have referred it to the FBI to consider whether or not it meets the criteria for which we could take action on.  Based on the Attorney General’s remarks, it’s hard to believe that what was once a Constitutional right to individual thought and belief, may now be one step closer to an Iranian-style regulation overseen by a hierarchy of American mullahs." http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/03/barack_goes_ballistic_.html

Corrupt Democrat politics in the state of New York. Quote: "In the end this likely won’t have a big impact on the race since the history between these two was pretty much baked into the cake from the beginning. But it does manage to yet again highlight the problematic structure of the Democrats’ primary system. These superdelegates are in place to make sure that the party leadership keeps their thumb on the scale. When one of them turns out to be a corrupt old jailbird they take yet another black eye."   http://hotair.com/archives/2016/03/16/one-of-hillary-clintons-superdelegates-may-have-to-vote-for-her-from-jail/?

A most interesting analysis.  I could not agree more with the author's bottom line:  "Although scholars have raised questions about the D Scale’s technical details, none has disproved its findings that both left- and right-wing extremists score high on the measure. The dogmatic personality is someone who, regardless of ideological leaning, is intolerant of ambiguity and rigid in outlook.  If Harsanyi had cited Rokeach, he would have had Taub cold. As it is, their dispute looks like an instance of she says, he says. Harsanyi’s analysis is well-taken, but it could have been even stronger. Left-wing extremists are just as closed-minded and intolerant as right-wing authoritarians."   http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/03/can_only_republicans_can_be_authoritarians.html

Adherence to political correctness has made common courtesy an untouchable for those who live on the political left.  Quote: Friday, 11 March2016  "...was also a bad day for kindness and civility.  First, Mrs. Clinton said something pleasant about Mrs. Reagan, who was buried Friday.  Her remarks were nothing more than a kind comment about a 94-year-old woman who passed away.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Just simple courtesy and good taste after attending a funeral.  She was not endorsing the Reagan years or anything like that.  The left went crazy.  They forced Mrs. Clinton to take it back.  Shameful.  Terribly weak on the part of Mrs. Clinton, too!"     http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/03/the_lefts_intolerance_in_full_display_on_friday.html#

Dirty media protecting or promoting dirty politicians.  In this case, Hillary.   http://conservativetribune.com/reporter-gets-caught-rigging/

Who do you think most federal employees work for - themselves or you.?  Most of them know that Democrats will always support big government and consequently their jobs, whether they do anything worthwhile or not.  They do not care that the Founders intended the federal government to be small and with limited functions.  So, they mostly give their money to Democrat candidates regardless of whether they are a socialist or if the FBI is investigating them for multiple federal crimes.  This is what our country has come to and it is a crying shame.  I was once a federal employee but I assure you I would have never ever given money to the campaigns of either Sanders or Hillary.  http://www.newsmax.com/Finance/StreetTalk/donald-trump-fed-employees-democrats/2016/03/14/id/718989/

Europe may be regaining some degree of common sense and rejecting the destructive progressive notion that importing Muslims into Western Countries is not such a good idea.    http://www.libertynewsonline.com/articles/article_322_38354.php

Such are the ethics/morals of so many on the left.  Quote: "According to the Daily Caller, a former federal employee union president has come forward to admit that she knew about misconduct happening within the Department of Veteran Affairs right around the time the VA scandal hit. But Germaine Clarno – a lifelong Democrat – admits that she never said anything to leaders in Congress because they were Republicans.  Apparently dealing with Republicans was more detestable to this woman than allowing our American heroes to die because they couldn’t get medical care at a VA hospital."   http://patriotupdate.com/union-official-lets-veterans-die-because-she-didnt-want-to-talk-to-republicans/

If you want to know what the Founders thought of executive actions, take a look at this youtube video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?

An interesting assessment of Donald Trump's assault on political correctness. Quote: "Barack Obama wasn’t the American apotheosis of critical theory’s social justice utopia.  He was its fall from grace.  And Donald Trump may just be the fresh political blood that revitalizes the incestuous 20th-century cultural delirium that most of us now call “progressivism” but German academicians between the two World Wars (and intellectuals here today) called “critical theory.”  That’s because political incorrectness is the one sure thing Trump has going for himself, political correctness is critical theory’s jailor, and mainstream America is ready to bust out of its PC jail.  “Critical theory” is the academy’s weasel phrase for nontraditional scholarship that seeks to change society instead of studying it.  Traditional scholarship would, in other words, be “traditional theory” rather than “critical theory.”  The “critical” has nothing to do with understanding and explaining society. It has everything to do with censuring and changing society.  It’s the academic provenance of Obama’s political vow to fundamentally transform America."http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/03/the_great_trump_pc_jailbreak.html

While some may challenge this notion, I have every confidence that it is at lease partially true.  Indeed, in the past I have shared many examples of overt fraud and subsequent proofs offered for such.  Here is another more general piece that briefly discusses the problem.  http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/03/is_democrat_voting_a_vast_criminal_conspiracy.html

This is something that does not need to happen.  For instance consider a customer walks into a business that does not carry the brand the customer wants but the business refers the customer to a business that does.  The right thing to do is for the customer to go to the recommended establishment.  Does that customer sue the business for not having what he wants?  No.  But, that is not the LBGT way.  They want to punish businesses for not providing the product(s) "they" want regardless of reason.  Common sense says they should go to the place that provides the desired product/service and avoid all the hullaballu.   https://firstliberty.org/newsroom/another-bakery-faces-attack-as-sweet-cakes-story-gains-national-attention/

We all know about the Obama extravagance when travelling, Joe Biden has joined in the fray.  His one night stay in Mexico City cost taxpayers over $500,000.  http://patriotupdate.com/joe-biden-spends-a-half-million-a-night-using-your-tax-dollars-to-live-it-up-in-mexico-city/

Beware the proclamations that say the solar industry is a good builder of new jobs.  Quote: "When you’re on a mission to secure government favors needed to prop up costly, inefficient, taxpayer-funded boondoggles, you may be inclined to manipulate economic figures. You also might be inclined to convince the public and the news media that these figures flow from a detached, objective analysis when in fact they are produced by advocates with a vested interest in public policy choices.  This is clearly what happened in the latest annual Solar Jobs Census from the Solar Foundation, which concluded that the solar industry is contributing to “robust” U.S. job growth, and left-leaning outlets are already starting to champion the report as evidence that we the solar industry is booming and merits further investment.  Don’t buy it."    http://opinion.injo.com/2016/03/254098-environmentalists-pushing-new-solar-jobs-report-good-news-heres-shouldnt-buy/

This is a most regrettable and costly in so many ways progressive/Democrat legacy and offers proof that their approach to welfare/war on poverty is a total failure.  https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/03/no_author/instant-government-slums/

Anyone who considers Obamacare a success is way, way off base.  Among the many other well known problems this adds to that already huge pile.  http://eaglerising.com/31137/obamacare-continues-to-wreak-havoc-as-41-states-report-huge-deductible-increases/

The Obamacare situation is so bad that Hillary stumbles all over herself trying to answer a voter question.  She lies and dissembles trying to answer and never really offers anything substantive.  The fact is no one can defend Obamacare, not even a Democrat presidential candidate.  This is the woman who thinks she deserves to be president.  No way.   http://eaglerising.com/31449/watch-hillarys-cringe-inducing-keep-shopping-response-to-a-voter-being-crushed-by-healthcare-costs/
