Troubles in Egypt

As you read the below link remember that President Obama and Hillary Clinton demanded the ouster of former president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, and lauded the election (albeit a suspect victory) one year ago of Muhamed Morsi to the presidency.  Morsi at the time was head of the terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood.  Also remember that high ranking members of the Muslim Brotherhood have been frequent visitors to the Obama White House throughout his presidency.  All the while he claimed to be fighting terrorism.

Also keep in mind that Obama has promised to provide Mubarak American made fighter aircraft and tanks and recently promised to give him $250 million dollars in return for promises of economic reform.  The gift rises to $1 billion if reform is deemed successful.  The dollars, of course, are to be provided courtesy of American taxpayers.  You also need to be aware that the Muslim Brotherhood is a mortal enemy of Israel and that Morsi has publicly called Jews "apes and pigs".  One wonders if the Egypt/Israel's long standing peace accord is at risk as long as Morsi is in power.  And you need to remember that during Morsi's presidency neither the murder of Egyptian Christians nor the massive consolidation of power by Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood collaborators has elicited as much as a peep of public protest from either Obama or Hillary Clinton (when Secretary of State) and to my knowledge neither has current Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Furthermore, neither Obama nor Kerry have made strong public statements regarding, what is by all accounts, the terrible job Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood collaborators have done and which prompted the massive demonstrations by disaffected Egyptians now taking place all across the country.  News accounts note that the size of the ongoing protests demanding Morsi step down exceed by a large margin those which ultimately led to Hosni Mubarak's ouster.  That fact alone reflects the unhappiness of the Egyptian public with the shenanigans of Morsi and his gang and makes one wonder what it will take for Obama to speak up.  Yesterday the Egyptian army issued an order to Morsi telling him he had 48 hours to come up with a plan (not sure to do what) or else (not sure what that means either).  We will have to wait to see.

You can make of this short tirade what you will but my take of these facts is that they demonstrate a serious lack of judgment on the part of our president (and former Secretary of State Clinton), highlights the misguided actions he has taken in his dealings with both Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, suggests a lack of concern with Egypt's mistreatment of Christians and showcases his wasteful disregard for the interests of US taxpayers by giving this band of miscreants a bunch of our money.    http://www.humanevents.com/2013/06/28/another-white-house-play-date-with-muslim-jihad/
