Not only have US relations deteriorated with Europe over the NSA snooping scandal, there are other reasons too.  And, it is also notable that relations have soured with some South American nations as well as some in Africa.  This despite the president's claims in his recent state of the union address that our relations with nations around the world have never been better.  An example of his trying to convince us to believe what he says and not believe the contrary things our eyes see and ears hear.
