Climate Science

Quote: :"A group of scientists recently put out a new study confirming the 15-year “hiatus” in global warming. That study made headlines, but what went largely unnoticed was a major admission made by the paper’s authors: the climate models were wrong. “There is this mismatch between what the climate models are producing and what the observations are showing,” John Fyfe, Canadian climate modeler and lead author of the new paper, told Nature. “We can’t ignore it.” “Reality has deviated from our expectations – it is perfectly normal to try and understand this difference,” Ed Hawkins, co-author of the study and United Kingdom climate scientist, echoed in a blog post. This is a huge admission by climate scientists and a big victory for skeptics of man-made global warming who have for years been pointing to a mismatch between climate model predictions and actual temperature observations."    http://www.cfact.org/2016/02/26/hiatus-confirmed-as-scientists-finally-admit-climate-

Crooked scientists damage not only their reputations but harm the whole of scientific efforts.  This is a sad story about one scientist who pursued wealth instead of truth and sought to sully/shut down those who pursue truth.   http://freebeacon.com/issues/congressman-alleges-illicit-payments-for-scientist-behind-climate-rico-push/?

This is a logical follow on to the previous item.   Quote: "Pure science undertaken for science’s own sake is as rare as a rainbow. It’s certainly scarce in Washington, where the quest for knowledge is vulnerable to the bias of politics. Skeptics of President Obama’s climate change agenda say they see new evidence of fraud. If administration officials are colluding with scientists to cook the evidence, such as it might be, to demonstrate that the planet is warming, the skeptics deserve everyone’s thanks.  Whistleblowers within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) complained last year that a major study by agency researcher Thomas Karl, refuting evidence of a pause in global warming, had been rushed to publication. The implication was that the study was coordinated with Obama administration officials to add to the urgency of the president’s climate change agenda in advance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris. Republicans on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology issued a subpoena of records of NOAA communications dealing with the study."  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/mar/3/editorial-the-doctored-science-of-global-warming/

Quote: "The Supreme Court’s stay of the EPA’s sweeping Clean Power Plan (CPP) is one of several developments undermining the efforts of President Obama and his fellow climate zealots. The Obama administration expected the CPP to seal the U.N.’s first universal climate agreement, but now that the president’s grand plan has been put on hold until final judicial review on the merits, its fate will likely not be known until late 2017 at the earliest. Furthermore, the prospects for upholding the power plan are not that strong. As a legal condition of imposing the stay, the Supreme Court had to conclude that the EPA’s plan would likely be overruled in the Court’s final review."     http://www.nationalreview.com/article/432256/climate-alarmism-versus-energy-reality

Yale University is withdrawing from the Climate Change gambit.  Quote: "Only a few years ago, global warming seemed like a sure winner to Yale’s then-president Richard C. Levin, when he announced in 2009 the establishment of the Yale Climate and Energy Institute and secured Rajendra K. Pachauri as its first head.  Pachuari was the head of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the major force pushing global warming as a central battle to be fought to save humanity, and he was to serve both the U.N. and Yale at the same time, locking them together as leaders of the fight to rescue us all from doom." http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/03/a_sure_sign_of_warmism_in_decline_yale_closing_down_its_climate_and_energy_institute.html

Government corruption and its alliance with crony capitalist. Quote: "The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) collusion with health and environment-destroying corporations and institutions goes further than the shameful poisoning of tens of thousands of residents of Flint, Michigan, however.

Interesting if proven to be true.  Quote: "In their “hottest year ever” press briefing, NOAA included this graph, which stated that they have a 58 year long radiosonde temperature record. But they only showed the last 37 years in the graph."  Check out what they did.  I bet you know why.    http://realclimatescience.com/2016/03/noaa-radiosonde-data-shows-no-warming-for-58-years/

Documents received via a Freedom of Information Act request, reveal that the agency also assisted Monsanto in attempting to paint flagship herbicide Roundup (glyphosate) as safe, after the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) declared glyphosate a "probable carcinogen."

If this turns out to be true it is just one more tragedy visited upon animals and humans by green fanatics, politicians, green crony capitalists, green academics and looney ECO environmentalists.  Sorry to be harsh but I have read far too many accounts of the damage these initiatives cause not to mention their exorbitant costs and forced taxpayer subsidies just to keep them afloat.  They do far more damage than good no matter the leftist hype.  Facts belie their spurious claims.    http://www.cfact.org/2016/03/04/are-wind-turbines-killing-whales/?

The Roundup herbicide was first introduced in the 1970s, but its use exploded in the mid-1990s with the introduction of Monsanto's line of "Roundup Ready" genetically modified organisms (GMOs). These crops were genetically engineered to resist glyphosate, allowing farmers to spray massive amounts of the chemical directly onto their fields."     http://www.naturalnews.com/053192_EPA_Monsanto_glyphosate_herbicide.html
