National Labor Relations Board Challenges Boeing Factory Location

The National Labor Relations Board has accused Boeing of setting up a new non-union factory in South Carolina. The NLRB says in doing so, Boeing broke federal labor laws. On Tuesday the action moved into a Seattle courtroom. Any appeals could eventually get to the federal courts. As I see it, the  NLRB has overstepped its authority. The decision to build a plant and Charleston should be made by Boeing and not the federal government. It comes down to the fundamental rights about whether a company that has a unionized workforce can expand to wear right to work state or not. In a right to work state such as South Carolina, employees are not required to join the union, even if workers at that company have approved one. The Boeing plant has  already been built and is ready to open.

The federal government does not have the authority, which I think the courts will agree, to tell any company where it can build its facilities. The Obama  administration says it wants to create new private sector jobs but when a company, like Boeing, tries to create new jobs, this administration tries to look out for its  labor union interest.  No wonder the unemployment rate is up to 9.1% as of the Obama administration tries to put his fingerprint on private enterprise. It seems that the only jobs this administration approves of  are union and federal positions.

If this is to continue the unemployment rate will continue to rise and our economy will continue to falter. We need to get behind the private sector, which is the backbone of our free enterprise system, and let them create all the jobs that they can. Only then will we see growth in our economy. Let's get behind our entrepreneurs and make it easier for them to create the jobs that we so badly need.
