‘Prolific Anti-Trump FBI Agent’ Broke Protocol To Spearhead Election Lawfare: Whistleblower

A whistleblower report reveals that a "prolific anti-Trump FBI agent," Timothy Thibault, allegedly broke protocol to initiate and drive the FBI's investigation into President Donald Trump's actions during the 2020 election. Thibault, who was dismissed for violating the Hatch Act due to his anti-Trump views, created the preliminary framework for the investigation known as "Arctic Frost. " This later became the basis for the legal actions taken by former Special Counsel Jack Smith.

The senators, Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, stated that Thibault acted without authorization for opening criminal investigations in his role. They claimed that this was part of a broader conspiracy by the Justice Department and FBI to target Trump. Following Thibault, Richard Pilger from the Justice Department was involved in advancing the case, allowing for a full criminal and grand jury inquiry. Grassley warned Attorney General Merrick Garland in 2022 that Thibault and Pilger were significantly involved in the decision-making process that led to the investigations against Trump.

Grassley outlined in a letter to Garland that Thibault had likely broken several regulations meant to prevent political bias within the FBI and demonstrated a consistent pattern of partisanship. This included public statements, such as sharing negative commentary about Trump, highlighting his personal opinions that were publicly displayed.

In addition to his involvement with the Trump investigation, Thibault was reportedly involved in suppressing information related to Hunter Biden. He allegedly concealed intel from a whistleblower concerning Biden and attempted to terminate the investigation without justification, trying to label the case within the FBI’s system to prevent it from being reopened.

Grassley discussed Thibault's unjustified actions during a Senate Judiciary hearing on Kash Patel's nomination as FBI director, indicating the seriousness of Thibault's unauthorized opening of investigations regarding Trump. Emails disclosed during this hearing showed Thibault's communications with the D. C. U. S. Attorney, where he expressed belief in the justification to include Trump as a subject of the investigation.

This set of events, led by Thibault and Pilger, culminated in the investigation overseen by Jack Smith, aimed at whether Trump or his associates had interfered with power transfer on January 6, 2021. However, this inquiry yielded no charges, as the criteria for insurrection was evidently not met. Jack Smith subsequently claimed in a report that he would have successfully prosecuted Trump had he not been elected, despite no charges being upheld.

The story was updated to include details about Thibault's actions concerning the Hunter Biden laptop matter, emphasizing his attempts to hinder investigations into the situation.
