Boxed In - Drop Boxes, Vote By Mail and Election Fraud

Officials are reluctant to admit election fraud as it would reduce trust in the system. However, the denial of fraud increases mistrust as more fraud is revealed.

The Fraud Triad consists of dirty voter rolls, ballot drop boxes, and vote by mail. Drop boxes are justified for preventing ballot theft and making voting convenient, but they are hard to beat for inserting large numbers of fraudulent ballots.

The movie '2000 Mules' documented how thousands of ballots were introduced into the election process, likely using drop boxes.

Once placed in a drop box, fraudulent ballots are usually safe and almost guaranteed to be counted. Even if someone is caught, the penalties are usually less severe than for putting a fraudulent ballot in the mail.

Fraud happens well before a ballot gets to the ballot box, and drop boxes provide low-risk ways to introduce huge numbers of fraudulent ballots into the system. Mules get paid for depositing ballots, making it a profitable venture for subverting elections.

Vote by mail, or absentee voting, is the next leg of the Triad and supports fraud due to anonymity and volume. Ballot interception and ballot replacement are two major aspects of vote by mail systems that support fraud.

Ballot harvesting is also a problem, where people are allowed to collect ballots from others for delivery. The huge volume of ballots mailed out contributes large numbers of pristine ballot forms that can be used to replace ballots that make the "wrong" choices. Going rates for ballots are in the range of $40 to $50, making it a profitable venture for those willing to take a small risk.

Future articles will expand on the issues and offer ways to fight the fraud. If your state has ballot drop boxes, ballot harvesting, or poorly managed absentee voting, it is time to get rid of those facilitating components of election fraud.
